  1. QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 07:38 AM) Jim Callis of Baseball America was just on the score and was ripping apart the White Sox organization specifically Reinsdorf about his spending habits on the draft-shocker. He still believes the White Sox are going cheap and not come close to spending the allotted money ($5.9 million) on the first 10 rounds. If this is true-Reinsdorf needs to be blasted and give an explanation to his fans. The new collective bargaining agreement towards the Draft was pushed mostly by Reinsdorf and we should now take advantage of the system and spend the allotted money given to the White Sox. All 5.9 mil better be spent no excuses anymore from JR and Company.
  2. MLB umpires get off scott free and continue to be arrogant with Selig turning a blind eye.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 31, 2012 -> 05:12 PM) That would be a mass suicidal event if Castro is traded. They built him up so much last season, he could go on to become their next Lou Brock. I agree with that.......................makes no sense to me to trade Castro.
  4. According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the Cubs are telling teams that "nearly everyone but starter Jeff Samardzija is available." Some names on that list you've heard before: Matt Garza, Ryan Dempster, Carlos Marmol and Alfonso Soriano, amongst others. Apparently club president Theo Epstein is open to moving Starlin Castro as well. Castro "can be obtained for two impact prospects," according to Nightengale. Bryan LaHair could provide pop for a contender. Trading him would open the door for top prospect Anthony Rizzo. Epstein has never shown an aversion for taking risks, so this situation warrants monitoring. On August 1, Chicago's roster may look nothing like it does today. USA Today

  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 30, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) I don't know, that doesn't show very much faith at all in your bench coach that you need to coach from the clubhouse. ALL managers run the show from the clubhouse with no exceptions.

  23. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) Buster Olney's last tweet insinuates he thinks the pickoff beaning may have been intentional too Hell yes it was.
  24. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) Who knows. He walked off the field without help, but was limping. I thought it was just a stinger to the side of the knee like you get in basketball (where you cannot move for 2 minutes but then the pain is gone) but it seemed to last longer. I hope the ball didn't hit the knee cap. Who knows...cross your fingers. Hopefully he will be ready to go Friday.
  25. He was out.
