  1. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) Roy's leading returning scorer was David Noel, a walk-on WR recruit that scored 3.9 ppg. His 2nd best option was Reyshawn Terry, a guy who wasn't even 1st team All-State in high school and barely a top 100 recruit. Roy had 3 Mickey D's AA's on the team, all of whom were freshmen. Wes Miller, the teams 5th leading scorer, was a walk-on recruit that transferred from James Madison. Out of the non-freshmen, UNC's highest rated player is Reyshawn Terry, and he wasn't even a top 75 recruit. Roy had one top ten recruit on the squad, Tyler Hansbrough. The rest weren't even top 20 recruits with Danny Green checking in at #24, the next highest rated. So yes, Roy did deserve it this year. You forgot also M.Ginyard.............Gatorade player of year to go with upperclassmen B.Sanders who also won same award plus T.Hansbrough, plus 2 mickey D's AA'S in freshman class and D.Green played in Mickey D's all star game.........................Poor Roy Williams ALL coaches should have such a down year of incoming talent to have to work with when guys leave.
  2. It is funny to me R.Williams and Coach K a couple of years ago, it must be hell to have to coach 6 to 7 McDonalds All-Americans EVERY year, so what they are young they should mature and play together faster than a normal team of a coach who really deserves the award with a bunch of guys not All-American's.
  3. Duke, NC and rest of ACC same s*** for 20 years ago, you could take his top 10 in 1986 and never know the difference.
  4. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) Well, as many of you know, tonight is Wrestlemania. Although I am not a wrestling fan in any way, shape, or form, through work, my father has been working with the people at WWE for the past month or so in preparation for tonight's event. Last night, at some work function with a lot of the WWE brass, he learned a pretty interesting fact. Apparently, the wrestlers of the pay-per-view events are not told the outcome of their match until minutes before the actual event. Only a select few know the outcome of the matches and the results are no released to anyone within the organization except the winner of the match, moments before they walk through the tunnel. In fact, the losers of the match are not even told, only the winners. So, they rehearse the match all week long like it is going to be preformed, but, only the winner knows the outcome and it isn't revealed to the loser until he is forced to take the three count. Kind of interesting. I know there are a lot of wrestling fans out there...enjoy tonight. You are 100% wrong, winners are determined weeks even months earlier and one of my very good friends who I have known since 1987 just went 14-0 at Wrestlemania 22 is one hell of a source for the in's and out's.
