  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 04:59 PM) lol. Yeah, I have never seen Kenny or Rick take responsibility for anything... The next time KW takes responsibility will be the first time.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) I assume then he's stating that he and rick will resign at the end of the season if the players can't get it done since they did such a poor job of choosing those players right? Otherwise he's throwing others under the bus to protect himself. Never the Sox brass fault ever just ask KW!
  3. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 04:32 PM) I am honestly puzzled as to why Hahn would stick around if this is the arrangement. It really seemed he was the "hot candidate" back in 2012 and could have had a GM job at a handful of places not named Chicago and not with KW hanging over his head like an overzealous parent. Maybe he's making bank. October 31 2012 There is debate about how much autonomy Hahn will have going forward. He inherits the exact same substructure he was a part of as assistant GM, and Williams is still lurking down the hall. In the team's press release announcement, Reinsdorf said, "Kenny raised the idea of promoting Rick several years ago, and we all have agreed that this is the right time to increase the scope and range of Kenny's involvement while he continues to maintain oversight and final approval on major baseball decisions." On the same topic, Williams said, "The way I look at it is it's Rick's decision until it's not. And when it's not, we have to get in, we have to hammer it out.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2015 -> 03:49 PM) Presumably this being a sun times article means that KW still gives interviews and answers questions as a representative of the front office. I'd say more but I'm not allowed to read the article. If that's the case, it does raise the question of why he's speaking for the front office or giving interviews as a team rep when that's actually the GMs job now. Meet the new boss same as the old boss.............KW is involved in every decision going on a daily basis. Nothing has changed, but the name plates on the office doors.
  5. I am shocked Ambrose won........................the BS DQ rule now it makes sense. The old Dusty Finish.
  6. Cena/Owens was superb....................wow
  7. I hope Owens goes over Cena............Samoa Joe can work independent shows but cannot appear on any televised tv but WWE.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 31, 2015 -> 06:34 PM) So you love when Danks gets bombed. No one said kiss his ass. But you could acknowledge he pitched pretty well today, and the team hit pretty well today, and they ran the bases pretty well today, and they played defense pretty well today instead you want to focus on Danks will never do that again. He was just lucky. I said he got the win good for him...................what more you want DA!
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 31, 2015 -> 06:08 PM) Sox win 6-0. Danks wins goes 9 saves the bullpen and you still have to look for a negative? Can't you just enjoy the win? The team played great today. Comment was directed to those who cannot understand why everyone does not love Danks. Yes he got the win good for him. I love it when he starts and gets bombed the Danks lovers are nowhere to be found, he gets a win then guys are negative for not kissing his ass.
  10. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 31, 2015 -> 04:52 PM) lol, here come the "Danks is turning a corner!" folks. It's like the sun coming up. We'll see if he can continue a 100% strand rate the next time he gives up 10 hits. Come on folks, he is what his last 500 post injury innings say he is -- a .5 WAR starter. I like what Rotoworld had to say for all the Danks lovers today. John Danks pitched a complete game shutout in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Astros. Gather 'round children, there's a tale to be told here. We might not see John Danks' line against the Astros again this season. Danks allowed 10 hits--including five for extra bases--without letting a run score. The southpaw also struck out six while walking just one. He ended the game the way he lived it: By allowing a double to Evan Gattis and walking Chris Carter before magically escaping trouble. While Danks and his owners will certainly take the win here, we're going to wager that the next time he allows 10 hits, the scoreboard isn't going to be filled up with zeroes.
  11. Danks 10 starts 9 Hr's given up..........guess was not that far fetched.
