Carlos Rodon and the White Sox have agreed upon a deal for more than $6.45 million, pending a physical, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
The third overall selection in the 2014 MLB Draft, Rodon got more than the $5.7 million slot amount. WRAL-TV's Jeff Graley, who first broke the news of the agreement, expects Rodon to be assigned to High-A Winston-Salem. He should be a fast-moving prospect who could be in Chicago at some point in 2015.
