QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) Can we call him injury prone or is it too soon? Rose is no doubt.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 11:20 PM) Which is why I hate the deal for Detroit. Like him or not prince was good protection for Miggy. He wasn't the problem. Miggy going to miss him badly. He will be walked a ton.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 03:40 PM) That is the least risky boast ever. This is the Royals. Every move they make, they regret. I disagree trade below worked out great for KC. July 29, 2012: Royals acquire right-handed pitcher Jeremy Guthrie from Rockies for left-handed pitcher Jonathan Sanchez. He was 10-0 with a 2.21 ERA. Sanchez struggled with the Rockies. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 11:28 PM) Dna report connects Winston to accuser... Analysis completed by Florida police confirmed that DNA provided by Florida State QB Jameis Winston matched a sample taken from the underwear of the woman who has accused him of sexual battery, according to ESPN. Per ESPN, who saw the report, "the chance of the DNA in the woman's underwear being a match for someone other than Winston was one in 2.2 trillion." The initial sample was obtained on Dec. 7, 2012 after the alleged incident occurred. Winston then took his half of the test on Tuesday. Per Rotoworld We will see If Florida St turns a blind eye. -

Sources have informed Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York that free agent second baseman Robinson Cano is still seeking a 10-year contract worth $310 million. That's what Cano asked of the Yankees just before this year's All-Star break. New York declined and Cano is highly doubtful to land that record-smashing sum on the open market, but it doesn't hurt to ask. The 31-year-old hit .314/.383/.516 with 27 home runs and 107 RBI in 160 games this summer. He's being represented by Roc Nation Sports and Jay-Z is expected to be intimately involved in his contract negotiations. per Rotoworld Good luck with that Mr. Cano -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 06:34 PM) Personally, I think losing Snider is a bigger blow to Illinois than Cliff going to Kansas. If Cliff was a one year player, chances are they aren't a final 4 team anyway. Snider is a guy who would have been around a few years, helping them consistently win a lot of games. I agree with you.............Cliff would of been the cherry on top today. -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) They definitey have a talented roster but the only thing entertaining to me last night was Joe's short promo. Even the Aries-Angle match was a disappointment. The Styles thing as you said they're taking further than the E but the problem there is that Styles isn't Punk and Dixie isn't Vince. Anyways, AJ Lee apparently collapsed today during a show but it sounds like she should be ok, thankfully. Sounds like AJ was dehydrated. How she is ok I am starting to enjoy her character.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Sorry to rub it in Illinois fans, but are you kidding? Did you really think you would get this guy? Do yourself a favor and assume Illinois will not get a 5-star recruit until they are at least a perennially top 25 program again. Even then, reality check, you probably won't get them very often. The blue chip recruits go to the blue blood schools. It's part of what is ruining college basketball. The same teams win every year with some new superstar, that superstar leaves, but the recruiting remains. Whatever I do not agree with 20% of what you stated. Your logic makes no sense in college basketball today. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 01:46 PM) Steven Stamkos just crashed into the net and appeared to seriously hurt his leg. Sucks to see a top player get injured like that. The .gif of the injury is at this link, careful if injuries can make you a bit queasy, it wasn't pretty. http://twitpic.com/dkwvmt Hate to see that happen to anyone.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 02:57 PM) Surprised no one started a thread on this. The Braves have decided to build a new, $670M stadium, in suburban Cobb County, and leave Turner Field. Turner, by the way, isn't even 20 years old yet. 20. Best part - Cobb County voters will be forking over $450M in public funding, to be covered by a tax increase (or a few), and they will NOT get to vote on it. If it was an entirely new tax type, they'd get to vote. But instead, the plan goes to the county board without referendum, with a plan to increase some combination of EXISTING taxes, which does not require a public vote. This is a county that, by the way, has been cleaving off teaching jobs and requiring public employee furlough days because they can't afford their budget. It is difficult to describe how many ways I hate this. 20 year old stadium, and they are leaving??? No public input on funding? Building a park in the suburbs, no where near transit? If I was in Atlanta and a Braves fan, I'd be livid. And here is a nightmare scenario: what if there is a huge public outcry over the funding, and the board doesn't vote for it? Or they do vote for it, and lawsuits pop up left and right, and the deal is eventually killed? The Braves have now made enemies of the City of Atlanta (who owns Turner field) and a lot of their fans. It was mentioned this morning in another thread.
