2010 AL Central Catch-All
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 10:22 PM) For the love of god.... I don't even care if its us anymore, will SOMEONE.. some organization that needs a 3B project please free this man?! It's been two years now since his injury prior, that he continues to be dicked around over there. I will drive from Northern Iowa to Kansas City so I can save this guy. Then drive him to Chicago and tell him he's going to be loved playing on the south side. Please for the love of God let this man go somewhere. Preferably the White Sox.

DID YOU KNOW?!?!
Anyone ever heard of the Rhinoceros Party of Canada. These crazies did some funny stuff. Building one nuclear power plant per household, including monthly distributions of lead underwear to Canadians. Indoor lighting would then be provided by radioactive citizens. Adopting the British system of driving on the left; this was to be gradually phased in over five years with large trucks and tractors first, then buses, eventually including small cars and bicycles last. Repealing the law of gravity Providing higher education by building taller schools Abolishing the environment because it's too hard to keep clean and it takes up so much space Declaring war on Belgium because a Belgian cartoon character, Tintin, killed a rhinoceros in one of the cartoons Counting the Thousand Islands to see if the Americans have stolen any http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhinoceros_Party_of_Canada There's a lot more crazy stuff in the wikipedia article. I know it's a wikipedia reference, but it's down right hilarious.

Most exciting players to watch
lol Fathom. I agree with Strasburg, mainly because he's new but I'm sure he'll be up there for years to come. I like watching Jason Heyward too. I want to see more of Carlos Santana before he starts to kill us as well. Other players I like watching are Hamilton, Pujols, Howard, and Fielder like you mentioned. I also like watching Guerrero because who knows what he'll swing at, and Tulowitzki, Kinsler, Crawford, Ichiro, and probably many more. Pitchers: Jimenez, Greinke, Lincecum, Halladay, etc.

It sucks that Marmol is coming in because Jones and Ramirez like to strike out. But at least we're not no hit.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:04 PM) I cant even remember the last time I saw the Sox get no hit. I was just saying that too. I don't know if they've been no hit since I've been a fan.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) I'd accept a loss as long as we get a hit. Not hit by the Cubs would be the ultimate slap in the face. Even though we won this 3 game series.

Well can't say I'm not surprised.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) With his stuff, he'd win 23 games a year in the NL. Also, the Reds desperately need to trade for some righty relievers. His ERA is just under 4, which is a lot higher than last year. But no way does it warrent a 2-8 record. I'm sure he's looking forward to free agency whenever that occurs.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
Greinke gets his 2nd win of the year. Struck out 12 as the Royals beat the Reds 7-3. He's 2-8 now.

Anyone doing RAGBRAI this year in Iowa?
I think I'm doing 2 legs this year. Sometime I want to do the whole thing. Anyone that has done it before, how'd you like it? This is going to be my first time.

For the Love of Chase Blackwood
I finally read this thread entirely and it makes sense now. I guess I need to come on soxtalk more often. I agree with JPN though. It'd be great to play pro ball, even if it was in the lower minor leagues. That in itself is quite an accomplishment with talent, hard work, and dedication. The highest I ever got to was barely being on a community college baseball team. Good luck to him on his quest at fullfilling his dream. The same dream most of us probably had at one time, which now has gone away.
