QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) Irony=Happy Holidays in place of Merry Christmas. The word "holiday" derives from Holy Day, a direct reference to the birth of Christ. Better just change it to "Day off from work and school" or something like that.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) They would've struggled, but they at least would've help their players improve. Floyd is not a coach who does that. Which is why he's a better college coach. He had some very talented teams at Iowa State.

Darrell Russell dead at age 29
WilliamTell replied to Kyyle23's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
This is very sad but I had to smack myself for chuckling about all they hit. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051215/ap_on_...bn_obit_russell Russell, 29, was a passenger in a car driven by former USC teammate Mike Bastianelli that went out of control about 6 a.m. and hit a curb, tree, newsstand, fire hydrant, light pole, another tree and an unoccupied transit bus, Lt. Paul Vernon said. -
QUOTE(rangercal @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) I was saying that sure he isn't a pro coach but everyone would've struggled with that team.

I know most hate Tim Floyd and think he's horrible but he had a bad wrap to being with. I would've liked to see any coach try to coach the Bulls team he had while he was there. It would've been basically the same. But he shouldn't have been the coach anyways, he's a very good college coach, but coaching the NBA is totally a different level.

I heard last night that the Ku Klux Klan supports this movie. If they really matter nowadays.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) President Telly was way better. President Telly huh? Close to Tell I guess, haha. I'd really go for a Rutherford B. Hayes though, haha. My favorite president is James Madison so it'd be cool to get his coin. -
QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) hahahaha I took that b**** today. God damn the class was boring. I HATE Econ. Yeah me too. I still need to read and do questions on 2 more chapters. I'll have to do that tomorrow.

I have a final over Macroeconomics which I really have had no clue over the whole course. I don't know why I took it but I'm hoping I do well on the final.

I'd prefere to keep some of the players from last year. At this pace we'll have 25 new people.

I really like this trade. When I first saw the headline I thought it was going to be either Jose or Jon leaving, not Orlando. Good job Kenny.

QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) don't. Who cares if he gives it out. If you want a pair I'm sure there will be enough left.

I've done 2, but I still have 4 more to go. No more today though.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:06 AM) Borchard should be -25. I don't know if you remember those Penny Hardaway shoe commercials where 'Lil Penny was in it. His number was 1/2. Borchard should use his reciprocal for his number so it could be 1/25.

Heat coach Van Gundy resigns

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 10:14 AM) Stan said it was all due to family reasons. He wants to spend time with his family, not have to travel all the time. He said Pat tried to convince him to stay. Pat Riley will take over as head coach. The press conference is on ESPN right now. I don't know if Stan is just saying what he's saying or if its the truth, but Stan is one of the better coaches in the NBA. Now we see what Riley has left in him. I liked Stan Van Gundy but I have to admit I am excited to see what Riley can do. -
Heat coach Van Gundy resigns
WilliamTell replied to Pierzynski 12's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Van Gundy sounds like a very classy guy. According to him he's been wanting to resign for the past 6 weeks or so, but Riley and the rest of the organization wanted him to be the coach still. Now I don't know if I'll believe that because it's pretty obvious that Riley wanted the job. -
My guess for Borchard was 27 aswell. 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 28 are taken.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) This is what the Boys have found a way to do. They aren't a good team, but they are in a good position to make the playoffs. I'd love it if the Bears matched up with em. Yeah, he won't win flashy and lucky not to win ugly. But a win's a win. Both teams really needed it. Now KC probably has to win out to get into the playoffs. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Ouch. You're telling me. I'm about ready to throw up right now. They let the Cowboys right back in the game and controlled most of it. But the Cowboys deserve a lot of credit and won it. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) It was pretty damn obvious DJ held him right off the line all the way into the endzone. They said #25, I was looking for him. Anyways Dallas winning 31-28. Just about over. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) Again the Cowboys give up a long pass play (there secondary sucks and gives these up way too much) and are behind to the Chiefs. A Chiefs win, teamed with the Chargers loss (add to the fact that the Chargers still have the Colts on the schedule) and it looks like the Chiefs would have to totally choke not to make the playoffs. Thats if the Chiefs hold on. And it looks like their defense won't hold on. Just under 2 minutes and the Cowboys are driving. -

Kansas City shot themselves in the foot in the second quarter. The Cowboys are leading the Dallas Bowl 24-21 in with over 10 minutes left in the 4th.
