QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Oops Yeah I know, that's what I'm thinking. (I usually have a tendency to say something like that and it turns out to be wrong, so this time I was hoping it'd happen again and I guess it did to an extent.) -

QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) how about the "houston lets soxtalkers play for the rest of the game so they can get reggie bush" bowl? lol that'd work too. Meanwhile the Bengals are going to win. The Browns just can't close out games. -
Since we're in the offseason and what's popular around here are the trade rumors. I've decided to bring up one of the most pointless topics just to waste time and increase people's post counts. Anyways the question is, since Jim Thome is now #25, what number do you think Borchard will be in Spring Training if he's still on the team?

Pierzynski Longing for a few more years With Sox

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) Awesome. After hearing about clubhouse spies from Foulke and Durham, to players not feeling safe coming here due to the fans, and to players just not wanting to stay period...it is very nice to see it all. PK staying, Thome loving every second so far, AJP wanting to come back...they just gotta get Jon and Joe some of that mojo. I think Joe needs to bring his playoff mojo into the regular season, offensively speaking. -
Dodgers sign Alomar Jr. to one-year contract

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Olivo with Alomar>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Olivo without Alomar How did Miguel do after leaving his mentor? lol nothing in Seattle, and I was very sad when we traded him. Shows how much I know. -
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) You guys must not watch Jacques Jones play on a regular basis. An occasional timely hit( :finger Freddy's no-no), solid defense, inconsistency, and a knack for swinging at curveballs that start at his knees. He's mediocre as hell. Oh believe me, I probably watch Jones as much as any Sox fan around here does. Since I live in the Minnesota viewing area and love to watch baseball, I probably watch 100 Twins games a year or so, wanting them to lose every game, haha. Jones is a very clutch hitter, I will give that to him. But he always tries for the long ball and when he gets it he does the most annoying bat flip I've ever seen.

Jacksonville is officially has no chance of winning now. We're getting switched to the Browns and the Bengals. Go Browns! -
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) The Republicans suddenly gave Montana up? And Virginia? And Michigan? Recently Michigan has been hard for Republicans to get.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) What Carl Everett is at 34, Jaque Jones is at 30. Well yeah, Jones it a few years younger than Everett and basically the same hitter with a little more defense than Everett right now.
-
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) The Everett comparison is probably pretty accurate. Yeah I'd consider him a younger Carl Everett. Especially with his attitude. Most are in aggreance that we don't need him on this team.
-
QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) I don't mind him as a player, although I do have "cockiness" questions about him. I'd prefer to see in-house options exhausted before the Sox look elsewhere for CF help. That's exactly what I'm getting at, his attitude.

Sandy's still at it. I always like him and wish him the best of luck. -
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Absolutely not. That's just downright silly. No kidding. I don't like him one bit. I'd rather go with Anderson in Center.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) Come on. That was a deep defensive squad with the legendary Dikembe Mutombo, Raja Bell, Eric Snow, George Lynch, etc. Larry Brown as head coach? That team could defend you, and then some. That's the only reason why they made it into the Finals. Iverson is an atrocious team player. He can't take a team anywhere unless he is completely surrounded by defensive-minded individuals in an iron-clad defnsive system, and even then, his flair for the dramatic on the offensive end is just crap IMO. Pippen by a mile unless you're a casual fan. Yeah and I suppose Iverson's 31 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game had nothing to do with it. Bell barely played that year, Snow isn't really anything since he's left Philadelphia and that goes for Lynch too. You can say it was the coach and only the coach if you want, but I also believe Iverson had something to do with it.

haha I don't think he meant to use the glass. But it was a perfect bank and it is there for a reason. More people should use it besides a select few like Tim Duncan. -
