  1. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) I would take Lew Ford over Everett and possibly Frank, Morneau over PK, Stewart over Pods, Jones over Dye, Cuddyer over Crede, their plantoon over Uribe, Mauer over A.J. Santana over Buerhle, Radke over Garland, Silva over Garcia, Mays over El-Duque and only Contreras over Lohse. Not to mention their entire bullpen over ours with the lone exception of Hermy. I can tell who you think will win the A.L. Central. But yeah I do agree with a lot of the names you mentioned.
  2. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Sox have not had a 5 run inning this season. That's what I'm getting at.
  3. 2 hits in a row for the Rangers, another big inning? Looks that way.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) Hard to have a consistent rally when there's SO many easy outs in your lineup. Also, our inability to draw a walk really kills us in rallies. Just putting up the big inning is one of the FEW things I miss about last years team.
  5. I just want to see the White Sox put a 5 spot up sometime, this is just pissing me off.
  6. QUOTE(AirScott @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) the question is...do we mark this game in the "Other 42" category? Yeah I would, this game at least.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) I would like to declare a official state of corpseball. Can someone second the motion. Sure I'll second it, I have nothing to lose.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) The Dodgers were on fire for a few weeks there too. We are so much better of a team than this on paper. Especially at the bat. This is just so freaking frustrating...every single guy on this team other than Iguchi and Pods are hitting well below their career averages. Let's hope that rainout is a good thing...gets Frank back in the lineup 1 game faster. It's terrible seeing the averages of 3-9 in the lineup. Meanwhile Soriano made a good catch.
  9. hey, what do you know, a base hit for Everett.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Unlike earlier this year, we are not putting long winning streak together anymore. We are hovering. Playing sub 500 ball. Guess what if you play sub 500 ball the rest of the division will catch up. Yeah, maybe some of the critics were right about us finishing 3rd or 4th. While I don't think that's going to happen, it makes you wonder how this team has had the best record in baseball for over a month.
  11. Was it stupid for thinking we were going to win this game? This is just getting unreal, it know it'd only be a 3 game losing streak, but still.
  12. I never thought about that advantage before. I guess he's right about that, but still. Let her race and have a good time. It's good for the sport, even though I got tired of hearing nonsense about her all last week. Like, what's your favorite color and that sort of stuff was getting old fast.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:44 AM) He's gonna be so f***ing pumped at the plate in his first plate appearance, he'll probably get a 2 minute ovation, one of the loudest you've ever heard. 1st pitch ball outside 2nd pitch fastball outside corner Frank watches it to the glove 3rd pitch fastball over the plate Frank swings and misses with a giant swing (Frank Calms down) 4th pitch breaking ball low off the outside corner at the knees 5th pitch he trys to bust Frank inside with a fastball at the belt but Frank clears the hips and hurts it. Out to left field. Standing Ovation. Curtain Call. I'd love to see that happen.
  14. Cmon Blue Jays, salvage one for your 1993 Playoff opponent.
  15. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 29, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) Surprised nobody mentioned the biggest knock against D-Ang as far as quotes go. Before we got him, maybe this was a red flag, Ryan Klesko called him the laziest player he'd ever played with in ten years. Oh yeah, I remember that one now. We probably should've listened to Klesko on that one.
  16. Frank needs to put a spark in this lineup. Just his pressence will help alone.
  17. Cool seeing all the Scandinavian countries at the top.
  18. Jays lose 4-3. Had a nice comeback but couldn't get the guy home from 2nd with 1 out.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) Its the ultimate unifer of Soxtalk. Just think of how pleasant this place will be the day Timo gets cut what will unify us then?
  20. lol I love this, teenager talk right here. If you're not a teen, excuse me.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 27, 2005 -> 06:34 PM) Yeah come to think of it the monster chick in my school that makes the floor rumble was wearing those really short like track shorts that hot chicks are supposed to wear. Why do they make them that size anyways? I know that's mean, but still.
  22. If the Yankees lose, they could go from 2nd to 4th in one night. But for that to happen, the Blue Jays would have to win. A couple of if's, but hey, it could happen.
  23. haha I think a lot of schools have a chick like that. The fat ones are usually nice though, but they have to be.
  24. Sad to hear about this. I hope he can come back for this. He'll never be what was expected of him, but maybe he can get back to having a decent career.
  25. Way to go Albert, as this guy keeps getting more and more popular, I hope we keep hearing stories like this.
