  1. I hope Robbie makes the Hall of Fame, he had a solid career.
  2. I do like McGwire and yes his homeruns will be tarnished, but he is doing the right thing by coming out, and I applaud him for that.
  3. yay, I saw that too. Happy 2000!!!
  4. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 11:50 PM) Forte is playing in the NBDL, he had an attitude problem and couldn't stick with the Supersonic's. But he has learned the error of his ways so to speak and he's working on his attitude along with his game to make it back to the league. He will always have a problem with what position he will play, he plays like a SG, but is 6'3 200 pounds at max, he does have lot of skill though, I'm hoping for the best. I will admit though that he's never been one of my favorites, right there with Maktar Ndiaye. Yeah I didn't think he was playing with the Songs anymore.
  5. And the thread is dying, the longest thread in 1 day I've seen here.
  6. Gonzaga held them off at the end. Good effort by Winthrop.
  7. Well good luck to him, I'd like to see him on the team, but I don't think it's going to happen. We don't have the often injured Sandy Alomar, Jr. on our team anymore.
  8. I don't know who'd want him to be honest. I know he's a switch hitter and all, but he's never panned out and probably never will be what was expected of him.
  9. This is Steff's thread, I'm doing what her sig is doing. Over 200 posts on this thread, and is very knowledgable on this subject.
  10. come on Garland, get a nice outing here.
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) I disagree. I don't see Burke making the roster. He is shaky at 3B at best and he only has a shot at the roster because he can play a bit there. They aren't going to cut Ben Davis and pay him his $1 million. Yeah, sadly I don't see Burke making it either. He's a real class act, I'm rooting for him to make it.
  12. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Well at least you are leaning toward Oakland as the source to his drop off. I would agree that the manager is more to blame than Beane for over-using Koch but we also know from Beane's own words in Moneyball that he is more involved with the coaching aspects of the team than most GM's. I don't fault him for dealing damaged goods to KW. It's KW's fault for not looking at velocity reports on Koch in August. All MLB teams have access to them. Yeah, Beane was getting rid of a guy he knew wasn't going to have another year that was the same as the last. If you can get rid of him, go ahead.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) Do I really...? Yikes. It's been a long time since I've been on here at night. My leggs are thanking me from not subjecting them to the usual 4 miles on the treadmill.. lol well that's good
  14. wow Steff 200+ posts on this thread. Keeping of the life of it together, keep it up.
  15. Gonzaga's making their came closer than most would think. It'll be an interesting last 3 minutes. Gonzaga 66 Winthrop 60.
  16. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) We should've pitched Felix Diaz against them instead of the Royals. He tends to do well against minor league teams. lol
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Woooaaahhhh... Manfred indicated earlier that there was NO document created when it was first requested and it had to be created before it was sent. I hope they go back and review his testimony.... He totally just lied. I was wondering how true that was too, to be honest.
  18. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) Over 18? Don't use them either. Unless you want to look like a s***ty, cheap leather handbag by 40. Ick. It's really gross seeing people like that. Some snakes have better skin than them.
  19. Washington is pissed and I don't blame them. They're not getting any respect, they're going out and showing no mercy so far.
  20. I like seeing Willie play short, probably won't happen too often though.
