It's been said for several years that if given enough of an opportunity, ARow could succeed. It's great to see Ozzie giving ARow a chance to prove the speculators right!

Story on Garcia on Espn right now
Yea I saw saw it. Boy, when you're in the chase all of a sudden you get a lot more media exposure huh? Well that explains why Ozzie was so fervent in wanting to get him despite two subpar years. He's the one who took Garcia to the doctor and knew exactly what was wrong with him the past two years. Knowing that Garcia had healed and was back to pitching like an ace, the deal was a no brainer. Insider information is a very valuable weapon! Ozzie, you are my hero...next to Buehrle, of course

Delgado's list to 2 teams
I feel the same way. He's not anti-America (at least, as far as I know), but definitely anti-Bush/anti-War. Regardless of his personal sentiments towards the American government, disgracing God Bless America might fly in Canada but it sure as hell won't fly IN America. Fuuuuuuck that noise. :fyou

MB through 8: 24 batters, 2 hits, 3 Ks, no walks, 0 runs. 82 pitches, 60 for strikes. 2 double plays keep Mark in line to face the minimum number of batters in a game. Btw, Mark finally passed Cliff Lee in batters faced with the last out in the 8th inning

In my mind, if the ump was giving that pitch earlier in the game even though he thought it was marginal, when the game so far out of hand he might decide not to call it anymore because off the blow out. To make the pitcher more "honest" or something. I'm not saying the ump thought it was marginal earlier in the game, but it might explain why he all of a sudden stopped giving it to the pitcher. To break up a perfect game to that point because he decided to change his mind is kind of a snub though any way you look at it.
