4-18 GT: Sox @ Boston - Game 2 (4:10pm)
Not having ABs at AA is hurting him. I like to see hitting prospects see a good amount of ABs in AA as that is where the talent in the minors really distinguishes itself. AAA is where you will see a more polished breaking pitch. But trying to make a jump from high A to the majors is a big hill to climb.

If Frank Thomas was up in that same situation and didn't have a productive out or drive the runner in, it's a failure. If Abreu was in the same situation its a failure. If Madrigal was up in the same situation it's a failure. I am sorry that I upset the Mercedes fanboy contingent. Keep telling yourself that was a successful AB and he just got aced by an unhittable pitch.

If we put it through the Ron simulator and replace the variable of "Mercedes" with "Abreu" the output seems to change.

Actually, it is. We are not talking about him facing Randy Johnson there. FFS

Lets Not Panic
If we do not sign Lynn to a long term deal then we better go deep this year or win the whole thing.

Because this is our manager.

Lets Not Panic
The warning signs were there from last year. We were a team that feasted on bad teams and lost to good teams. We upgraded right, added a pitcher and a closer. We lost our LF than basically negates the upgrade in RF.

White Sox running almost exactly MLB average payroll
So here are the concerns. 1.) Any pitcher gets hurt that is costing any money. That is like nails on a chalkboard for JR. That might impact Gio and other long-term pitcher signings. 2.) Young players that we lock up falling off on production.

Is this the hard part of the schedule? I thought that came in the 2nd half.

Trade Targets
I wouldn't trust this ownership with a second chance at doing this. We have to wait for nature to take its course. The fucker is not immortal.

Yup, he doesnt care at all about winning. He cares about the bottom line of the team and his gold.

2019 looks to be a fart in the wind for Moncada. Covid was the excuse last year. But he has a shitload of bad at-bats surrounded by one good season.

Once again this looks like the same team that was bad against above 500 teams and feasted on some bottom dwellers. This does not look like a world series contender.

Shane Bieber probably came when he saw TLRs lineup. Nick Williams in the 5 hole. Wow the Ghost of Ricky Renteria is managing this team.

RISP, its K or groundout. This team reminds me of the 2004 White Sox offense. Clutch.

Indians/White Sox pitching match-ups (MON-THURS)
Until we show a competent offense and the lockdown bullpen we are a flawed team that will continue to get beat by good teams. Last year we didn't beat anyone that was over 500 on a regular basis.

2019 looks like an outlier than the norm for Moncada.

This team doesn't look like a playoff team right now. Luckily the owner can take his gold with him to hell.
