Sisco needs to go in on Casey. He is a oppo hitter. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 02:39 PM) We face three straight righties now, so I'm sure Erstad will keep playing and playing. Didn't Guillen hit a walkoff against Sisco last year? Well he wont today against him at least. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 02:35 PM) Seems clear to everyone but Ozzie. All I can think is KW told Ozzie, Brian is on this team. He is the CF of the future. So he made Ozzie take him, but Ozzie is like...I don't have to play him. I don't know...there are no signs of this at all...I'm just grasping at straws cause the way he is being handled makes absolutely no sense to me. Well Timostad is hitting worst than Brian last year. But hey he runs his face into the wall. We should of just traded for Rowand, and I hate that idea, over signing Timostad. He at least could hit over 250. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 02:31 PM) I hope Mack does something, but Jesus Christ BA has to feel like he screwed the boss wife or something. There is no reason to have Brian on this roster. He should be in AAA getting ABs. Terrero could pinch run, and play the occasional LF in the 9th. You dont want to play him whatever, but this does nothing to develop him. -

I love the fact that we used Anderson as a pinch runner for Thome. Now we cant use his defense at all. -

Uribe sporting some smarts. He cant catch throws, he cant catch popups, and he swings at 100 mph fastballs over his head. -

Crede has shorten his swing over the last 2 games. Thats exactly what you need to do. -

A guy throwing this hard. A nice short swing will do. The baseball already has enough energy that will transfer to the bat on contact. -

So we used Anderson as a pinch runner, so now he is our DH. Good choice. Lets not take advantage of his defense. -

What exactly is Greg doing to help Konerko get out of this funk. Is it the same thing he has been doing with the rest of our team. long looping swings versus heat looks stupid. -

Watching the World Series DVD Jose Contreras throws 3/4 delivery and pounds the zone. This was due to Coop and El Duque telling him to pitch like a cuban. Last spring we see Contreras dominate, and then his back hurts. And after that he does pitch like a cuban, the cuban is El Duque without a pair. Now Count pitches away from contact like he did in New York, and he has become Mr. sidearmer. So one of two things have happened. Either Contreras's back still hurts and he is compensating by going side arm all the time, or he has lost his mind. -
3 starts into this kids career and he looks impressive. He attacks the zone, throws strikes and has a good repertoire. The best thing is a short memory of bad things. Something happens and this kid throws strikes. How many talented pitchers come up, and get overwhelmed with the whole thing and never let their talent show. This is what sets him apart. This kid should watch Buerhle and hopefully learn that cutter this year. If he adds that to this plus change and plus curve and this could be a fun guy to watch. The last time we had a guy like this come up, was Mark.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) Funny how Erstad and Konerko, our 2 crappiest hitters right now, got us the W. Well it was better than Uribe deciding to sit under a fly ball, and then say...oh I really didnt mean me when I was waving you off. Thank god we won this. Uribe tried hard to f*** us with his D. Crede and Uribe need to bone up on the normal plays. The ones that they have to react to sure, they get those the tough ones. The easy ones that give them a chance to think about, its f*** up city on those. -
Danks pitched very well. Uribe owes him a steak and an apology after he messed up that flyball. His ERA would of been 3.38 instead of north of 5. The left side of our defense needs to get their heads out of their asses. Nice job by the pen. Nice job getting enough runs to win.

Grinderstad wasnt the player of the game. that would be Danks. Uribe is a goat of the game. -

QUOTE(OfficerPat35 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) Wow. Kyle Lohse has a 2.53 ERA after three starts. He might have gotten...gasp...GOOD. Or he is pitching in the NL. Do you really think that Ted Lilly became an ace. -

QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) you have to take that chance, especially with 2 outs. the team had 3 chances to get that runner in before the tag up. I swear, I wonder how many have ever put on a uniform at any level before. You have your slow DH run on a flyball shallow. Oh and BTW, My uniform said Saint Xavier University, what did yours say. -
