  1. If Kenny really wants to fix this team. He needs to fire Ozzie, Cora, Walker. He needs to ditch Prancer, Uribe, Freddy.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) It's the 8th inning, and we have Anderson, Uribe, and Pods bat. Talk about some tough outs. Thank god Gload and Cintron get a good view from the bench. We keep a .230ish hitting SS in the game who can barely I mean barely hit the ball because he swings for the fence no matter what is happening. Then we keep a lefty hitting LF that can barely hit. Gload is on the bench with Cintron trying to figure out why Ozzie hates them.
  3. Juans swing against Duchsherer on strike 2 was predictable. He almost fell down. Breaking pitch low and away and he Ks. Dont we have 2 lefties on the bench. One who in fact can play SS. Ozzie is really pulling all the right strings tonight.
  4. Hopefully if there is a god they will fire Greg Walker, send him to the long list of pull monkey hitting instructors that we have canned, and get someone from a high OBP, line drive swinging, protect the plate organizations. This pull and lift s*** doesnt work. Great 200 homers again, yeah. 10 runs one game, barely scraping out 1 hit through 5 in the next game.
  5. Appendage aware manager back at work. Brian hits righties better than lefties, but I am sure Ozzie knows that.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) Joe Kennedy in. Great a soft tossing lefty. Here comes the big rally, :puke
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) Is there even a remote chance the Sox can get to Douchenmeyer? Big 12/6 curveball. Only if he cant throw it remotely near the zone.
  8. I wonder if our next manager will play the starters more than 25% of the time.
  9. The slowest developing double play tandem in baseball folks.
  10. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:18 PM) You know SSI71, I do agree with you in this case. Ozzie should never put BMAC in to face Thomas. BMAC has not been good at all! Mac made a good pitch on that one and shattered his bat. That was a bad matchup. Frank is a good breaking ball hitter, and the way to beat him now is with hard hard stuff or pounding him in. Mac hit his spot and did a good job.
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) HOW THE HELL IS THIS OZZIES FAULT??? WHO DO YOU WANT HIM TO BRING IN HERE!!!! Mackowiak's foobar that led to 3 runs says Hi.
  12. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) HOW THE HELL IS THIS OZZIES FAULT??? WHO DO YOU WANT HIM TO BRING IN HERE!!!! McDougal, Thornton, anyone that isnt a contact pitcher.
  13. So where is it landing. I think the center field concourse.
  14. Just when you thought you had seen everything in the playbook of the magic 8 ball. Then you see this. 3-2 in the 8th inning and we dont have anyone to pitch to Frank but a contact pitcher who has been strugglign with giving up the dong. Nice job Ozzie. You can quit anyday now.
  15. If Ozzie puts in bmac to pitch to Thomas then he is on drugs.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Crede has nothing behind his swings. That back injury is definitely effecting his swing. Thats not a back injury there. Its the same swing that Konerko has, that Uribe has, that Anderson or any of our right handed hitters have on the low and away pitch. So either is a f***ing coincidence or our hitting coach came up with a neat way to cheat on pitches and it has been exploited.
  17. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) Fathom, this is not meant to be an argument, just a thought. To me, the main reason we are in this situation right now is not because of the inconsistent play of our LF or CF. The main reason is our the disappointment of our STARTING PITCHERS. If all of them pitch like they did last year, we would be leading the division too far in the first half for the Tigers or the Twins to catch up with us. With 16 games left, we are really pressing in trying to catch up with them, and in turn, I believe, that truly messes up our hitting. Let's hope our hitting will turn around QUICKLY. Yeah and it has nothing to do with the fact that since the allstar break our offense has been basically in hibernation. if our offense showed at least some play we would be leading this division. 13th ranked in Runs. The 14 million dollar Marlins who play in a very large monsterous pitchers park have scored more runs that our juggernaut of a team. Its real simple. Pitch this team low and away and it wets the bed. Its been that way for the last 6 years. Its why we suck in the 2nd half. Our offense last year that was horrible in the 2nd half, we are on just about that pace for runs scored.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Ah...the PK shoulder shrug. the other pull monkey is up.
  19. Everyone of our hitters are 0-2. Maybe if we stop trying to park every single pitch we might have a chance to center up Johan tonight.
  20. At some point if we get the lead, can we please take prancer out of LF and put Anderson into CF. Watching flyballs go into the OF makes me wan to vomit. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) As McLaughlin would say…. “WRONG” Even with a sure thing like Marte in 05 against a lefty sometimes Cotts can get a lefty out.
  21. 2 strikes and Cotts is at a disadvantage because he is a one pitch pitcher.
  22. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) his pitch count is up there though... Thats something you will never see with our team. We never battle with 2 strikes. Its either dong or death with 2 strikes.
  23. The appendage aware manager just put in a lefty who cant get lefties out and has control problems. I figure the end result will be a walk, a hit batsman or a dong.
  24. Another team that takes the ball into right and up the middle when they get to 2 strikes. Instead of our jokers swinging for the fences with 2 strikes and King, popping it up or rolling it over.
