  1. Crede hit the spiff out of that ball. So again, lets take the fastballs, then swing at the crap that you cant possibly put in play. Nice job. I wonder if they drew this up on the whiteboard that way before the game.
  2. Just put the bat down, and punch the ump in the back of the head.
  3. So lets get our gameplan tonight. Take the fastballs down the cock until you have 2 strikes. Then fish for the change in the dirt. Good plan.
  4. Paulie dont swing at the changeup bounced in.
  5. Pretty much anything near the plate is a strike if Johan throws it up there.
  6. Okay he just did something that Widger hasnt done. Sandy gramps actually threw out a runner with the Count on the mound.
  7. It would be nice if Jose gets on top of some of these pitches he is winging up there. He keeps dropping down and the ball is sailing. If they conneect its out of here.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) I would agree, but I was just wondering today if he's actually helped us offensively win a game since the first game of the year. I can think the game against Boston and the game against Detroit where having Anderson in the lineup may have stopped us from having a very large inning.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) When was the last time we had 2 freakin hits in a row, much less 3. Feels like forever. When we figure out that the home runs derby is over, and our line drive swings show back up, thats when we will start to string hits together.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) I have a very honest question, and it's not meant to bash Anderson......has his offense contributed to any wins this season since the first game of the year? I would say that his O + D > Macks O + D
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) I suppose it is a little much to ask. But last night just got me thinking that BA hits 'all' of his HR in the ninth inning. Just kinda strange. The same reason pablo saves all of his homers for the 9th.
  12. This umps strikezone is bullspiff. The second strike to Anderson is the same pitch he called a ball on the Count last inning for the walk.
  13. Ever since Mr count has come back from the DL, he is pretty much sidearm only. What happened to going over the top. He is leaving a lot of his fastballs up and over the plate.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) Going to right isn't always the option. The most disturbing thing about the offense the last few weeks is the lack of hard hit balls by our offense. I like going to right with pitchers like Johan who have a great change. If you think right you still have a shot at putting the change in play. If you look for the pull, if you make contact with the change you will foul it off. Its not for every single type of pitcher. Its for soft tossing lefties, soft tossing righties who are going away only, and for Johan with the plus change.
  15. Welcome to the whitesox Sandy you will fit in with our offense with that approach.
  16. Uribe goes oppo. This is what our right handers should be doing against Johan. Lets see if old man Alomar can put a good hit together.
  17. Crede looking like poo on a stick at the plate lately. Nice fishing swing Joe. Just put the bat back in the rack and come up with a better game plan than that. Try hitting it to right instead of pulling everything.
  18. QUOTE($I Need Money$ @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) Tigers are rallying back We are 7 1/2 out of the division. Lets worry about the team 2 behind us, that we are playing. Until we break the 5 game threshold again, we arent in the division.
  19. Well hopefully some of our righties have a plan tonight against Santana. When you get a fastball crush it.
  20. Our team gets the lead, then poof our pitcher gives it up.
  21. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) See, I told you Johan has been hittable over his last few starts Dont get cocky over the solo homer in the first. We have hit solo homers off of Johan before.
  22. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) F U C K u johan More like fish ozuna who swung at ball 4. That would of been 2 runs.
  23. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) How about anybody that can keep the bat on their shoulder when it's ball 4. Our other LF'er likes to leave his on his shoulder watching the pitch dwon the middle of the plate. Thank you Thome. There is our run.
  24. Gooch actually puts wood on the ball. Popup to Center. 2 gone.
