  1. They also played the Angels and A's in interleague. Ouch.
  2. Here is some statistical analysis of how our schedule difficulty compares to every other major league team so far this year. Cases that look like ties have been ordered based on further accuracy than three decimal places. As you can see, we've had the 14th hardest schedule in the majors, 6th hardest in the AL, and overall hardest of any AL Central team. The toughest part of the year is behind us folks, there are blue skies on the horizon. Even though we've had serious injuries, no one in the league is going to feel sorry for us. We just have to go out and play hard. Take a look at our rivals, the Twins. They've had, by far, the EASIEST schedule out of any team in the major leauges. Even though the last three days have been a complete nightmare, the following list gives me confidence. Strength Of Schedule Percentages 1 Chicago Cubs .521 2 Houston .518 3 Anaheim .513 4 Pittsburgh .513 5 Cincinnati .513 6 Seattle .513 7 St. Louis .508 8 Oakland .508 9 Boston .506 10 Milwaukee .505 11 Tampa Bay .505 12 Arizona .503 13 Colorado .503 14 Chicago Sox .502 15 Kansas City .502 16 Texas .502 17 NY Yankees .500 18 Florida .497 19 NY Mets .495 20 Toronto .495 21 Atlanta .493 22 Baltimore .493 23 Los Angeles .492 24 Detroit .492 25 San Francisco .492 26 Cleveland .491 27 Montreal .488 28 Philadelphia .486 29 San Diego .483 30 Minnesota .471
  3. You guys have been at it for two days and accomplished nothing. STOP ARGUING.
  4. You'd think Crawford would be untouchable.
  5. Comparing players position by position and then counting the results to determine who has the better team? That is complete and utter stupidity.
  6. His average when leading off an inning is incredible too. Just reinforcing the idea that he needs to bat first.
  7. Yeah I was thinking about that too. But he had that 'nice guy' image. Then again, I never thought I would see ARod dropping F-bombs left and right.
  8. How many of you think if it were Miguel Olivo that got hit there would've been a lot more concern and frustration from the players as well as retaliation that same night?
  9. A leader Mike Jackson is not.
  10. Oh, thanks. Any idea on what kind of distance a shot like that is? I've never been to White Sox spring training.
  11. Could somebody please explain the 'Light Tower' referrences?
  12. Section 154 for me. I've never been to a sold out U.S. Cellular. Hopefully there'll be a few more this season.
  13. Wow. The Baseball Tonight crew said it was Jaime's fault he got hit.
  14. Why do you dwell on the past so much? We were champs in 1917, but that doesn't mean a thing now. We are 7-4 against the Twins this year, and you're almost in tears about years past. You have to let that s*** go, otherwise you're like a Cub fan. They did need that cheap-shot hit to boost their confidence, and to try and lower ours at the same time. It's our job not to let that happen. If we have a situation to plunk Hunter while maintaining a win, then we need to do that.
  15. I'm not saying we have to f*** up the series to make a statement. The number one priority is winning the next two games. That is the biggest message you can send. If we have the opportunity to get back at Hunter though, we need to do so in my opinion. I just don't like the idea of him doing that without any kind of repercussion.
  16. Burke was not blocking the plate, he did not have the ball yet, and Hunter turned out of the basepath to intentionally hit Jaime. He's a little b****. You can call that playing hard baseball, but you'd be a mind-numbing dolt to do so. Hitting a catcher who has the ball and anticipating a collision is hard baseball. That was 100% cheap.
  17. Where is the character on this team? Torii gives one of our players the biggest f***ing cheap shot this year and no one says a word. There was no fire afterward, no nothing. We didn't even make any decent comeback. We better come out the next two days ready to play harder than ever. You cannot let your division rival do that to you in your own home and then just lay down. I also want to see Hunter hit in the f***ing head by a fastball before the series is over.
  18. White towels with the Sox logo on them. Other fans have been encouraging the idea of bringing actual white socks to spin in the air as well.
  19. What do you guys think about management trying to get that whole white sock/towel waving thing going? They've started giving those out on the concourse.
  20. Well I'm not saying it's true, but it was brought up by someone. It could've just been a cub troll for all I know. I just wanted to hear from someone who could verify this as true or not.
  21. He hasn't felt right for a long time now and doctors cannot tell him what is wrong. He has been tested for cancer as well as HIV, both of which came back negative. If he's being tested for conditions as serious as these, you know his situation is not good. His next test is for a parasite which hides in intestinal lining, a disease that could be fatal. I hate the Yankees as a baseball team but this is much more important than that. Here's hoping he recovers fully.
