  1. wow, not pretty but I'll take it. Didn't look like they got him at 2nd.
  2. Cleveland is dropping the s*** hammer on Baltimore.
  3. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) just wrote them saying that they were studying baseball for a history unit and using some baseball stats for a math unit. If they had any basic information about the team/league that they could send, it would help them in their studies. (i'm paraphrasing here) She was thinking that they would get a program say from the White Sox that would have the history of the team or an old media guide with the stats from 2004. some basic stuff. I see. It's awesome when MLB does this kind of stuff.
  4. I'm confused, what did she and her students write them for?
  5. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) HAHA, you're the King, LMB!!!!
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) LOL.. It's right off 88, not too hard to get to. You've never seen me driving around in circles in the burbs.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) IIRC, Yorktown Mall No chance. You say the burbs to me and you might as well be saying Mars. Thx though.
  8. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) I had Widge sign one of those papers. I had an extra baseball, but I'm gonna try to get Jenks on Thursday. Some dude that was at the front of the line was selling 8X10 pictures for like $5.00. where is Jenks on Thurs.??? Yeah, I didn't like any of the photos that guy had, maybe all the good ones were gone.
  9. I just got back too. I found out about signing today, so I didn't have anything for them to sign. Luckily they had some paper with the WS logo on it at the table, so I had them sign that. Mark is very cool, the Widge looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. I got a nice little thrill to walk right past Farmer as he sat there with his pen in his hand reaching toward me like I wanted his autograph. :finger
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 11:22 AM) Like I said above.. there doesn't seem to be sources for that information. It seems you would need to have a specific case to look up where a conviction prior to DNA introduction took place. Google and Yahoo did not provide anything. Interesting.
  11. QUOTE(bulokis @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) They'll sign your organs away LOL, "we're gonna need you to flip over your DL?"
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 10:39 AM) You can hardly find info about prosecuting before DNA, but like Balta said I would guess it was based mainly on a witness and credibility of the accuser. But a LOT of men were put away for rape prior to DNA testing, on what evidence?
  13. I'll try to make it. Anyone else from the dowtown crew heading over? What will they sign? Anything, or purchased pictures?
  14. I wish Jenks could've gotten a few pitches in last night. His curve and offspeed stuff still needs some work. Usually he's in a pressure situation where he can't really rsik experimenting with it and he throws strictly heat. Last night was a perfect time to fine tune him, but I see why Logan and Cliffy needed to get in a game also. Oh well.
  15. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:43 AM) Ones that don't want your money, apparently. ....or extremely elitist ones who don't want just anyone shopping there and aren't hurting for business either.
  16. I know this wasn't that long ago, but It's funny how quickly I get used to things. Prior to DNA evidence being used in court, what evidence was used to prosecute rapists? Bruising? Medical evidence of penetration? How was it linked to the specific individuals that were convicted?
  17. I'll stick to my prediction that a White Sox pitcher will throw a no hitter this season. Great to see Cliffy get back to form.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:51 PM) That wasn't nearly as impressive as when he hit 2 OUT of Miller Park during the HR derby. Anyone there when Bonds hit one to the concourse and it bounced out during BP 2 years ago? I remember that display at Miller, it was amazing, but an actual game situation is different.
  19. About how far is the fan deck from home plate?
  20. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) Explosive diarrhea Seafood again, eh?
  21. Just tuned in. Why was Jose yanked? Pitch count?
  22. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) good story there...i didn't go because i got too drunk and i got lost...going to a place i've been 10,000 times before We need to have a talk about your chemical consumption lately. It sounds like even if you'd made it, you wouldn't have remembered much.
  23. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) yeah pretty cool uh...it'd be cooler if built to spill was in another 5 days but i'm gonna go to the editors saturday cause i heard good things...not a big fan of stellastarr Review??
