  1. We went about about 3 years ago and I thought the M Force was completely off the chain. I can't imagine it getting better. I gotta hit it up.
  2. I saw your sign on the jumbotron, everyone around me laughed.
  3. QUOTE(Nokona @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) Anyone else sitting here hoping the Bears don't keep playing good to steal some thunder from this Sox team? Actually, I hope that all Chicago teams get hot in the next year or so. People forget that this is CHICAGO, we should be in the post season in every sport almost every year.
  4. Unless you're the Yankess, Braves and now the Red Sox, you only get one chance in a long time. You have to make the most of it, or go back into the crowd. They blew it in '03. They're only hope is that the Cards and Stros get old and that the Cubs basically outlive them.
  5. Since we had never won the WS in my lifetime, I didn't pay any attention to what other teams have done, or what the traditions are. Will the WS banner get raised at the Cell on opening day next year? Will it just be a pennant that reads '2005', or a banner with 'WS Champs 2005' on it? Do you guys think the chances of getting tix to opening day are good if you don't have some kind of season ticket package?
  6. I'm still celebrating. Got a bunch of WS gear and a WS Champs flag I just hung outside the house this weekend. It's also kinda nice to get back to a normal life. It had been go to work, then to the bar for the game, sleep 3 hours, back to the bar for a game, sleep for 3 hours.....
  7. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:51 PM) Los Here ya go http://dougtle.home.comcast.net/fey_poeller2.jpg Thx man. Like I said, they're something hot about both of them.
  8. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) Yeah, was hard to find anyhting that was rocking up North... after the game I cruised and once I hit Division and Clark... the place was jumping with Sox Fans... was very cool to see alll them people out on the street and bars. Now I know next time we make a run to go down there . Actually, a friend of mine who lives near Wrigley said the bar were more full than what you might have expected. I'll never go back to Shoeless Joe's. I thought it was a Sox bar because of the name, it's actually one of those huge everything sports bars, no real allegiance, lame.
  9. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) soldier field watching on a TV in the something or other special people level after having just come in from filming a movie with clint eastwood. lol what a night YOU MADE IT TO A TV AFTER ALL! AWESOME!
  10. That chunk of change I was wondering about must have been huge to get Scotty to talk about the Cubs, Bo Sox and curses. Cool to see him on though.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) Both. NO to Rachel Dratch though. There's soemthing about Tina Fey and I'd throw Amy Poller in for sport.
  12. Ok, this better be it. Would you guys drill either one of these two?
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Sheryl Crow?!?! :puke :puke :puke :puke that is not music, my friend. I'd still bounce her.
  14. I should have the trip over to Hawkeye's or Bourbon St. Shoeless Joe's was lame. I was excited to see all the people in Sox gear when I got there, but the noise and energy levels were way down. I thought maybe the low score had a lot to do with it, but 30 minutes after the win, the place cleared out. A small group of us kept it rockin' as long as we could.
  15. I wonder how much $$ Scotty gets for being on. After about 175 games and all the celebrations, I'd be ready to go relax on an island. You'd have to give me a nice chunk of cash.
  16. No, the song is not awesome, but it's awesome that they did it. It's nowhere near as bad as Perry.
  17. The Loop, 97.9 has done a remake of The Super Bowl Shuffle, called the WS Shuffle. It's awesome! Can someone (who is far more computer savy) search and post it? Thx.
  18. The winner of the 10:30 slot is G String Divas on HBO. Thx for playing.
  19. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 09:26 AM) Yeah, great sound. I got to hear Santana and Nancy as clear as day, but when it came time for something I actually gave a toss about...I left. Couldn't hear anything. Was anybody here the guy dressed up as the score board??? Here's an idea buddy, next time there is going to be a MASSIVE gathering of people, try not to wear a refrigerator!!! Sorry you couldn't hear. I saw 2 strollers. Gotta love the people holding up giant flags and huge signs so that NO ONE behind them can see or take pics.
  20. I heard a lot of people complaining on the way home that they didn't even make it close to LaSalle. Most people approached the parade from west to east and just looked for LaSalle. We went north on Franklin to Wacker and then cut east to LaSalle. We had a decent spot and could hear pretty well.
  21. Is that a banana is AJ's pants or was he having a blast at the parade? Is that Mrs. Paul Konerko in the white fur?
  22. best sign: "Crede, I want to get to 3rd base with you"
  23. I'd say 20% of the people near me booed Daley. The guy puts on a HELL of a parade for the Sox, yeah, let's boo him. :headshake Another clown behind me kept yelling; "Screw Venezuela" every time he saw the flags or heard Ozzie mention it. We got some real winners in Sox nation.
  24. QUOTE(jenksd @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south chicago He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere A singer in a smokey room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill Payin’ anything to roll the dice, Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on (chorus) Don’t stop believin’ Hold on to the feelin’ Streetlight people The only thing funnier than how cheesy this song is....is how badly I had screwed up a few of the lyrics.
