Comiskey Park security bubble to be in place
LosMediasBlancas replied to WinningUgly85's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) I would imagine being involved in an illegal transaction probably isn't legal in some way, shape, or form. And with 200 undercover police/feds hanging around, it would be enough to convince me. Maybe you're right, but I'm still gonna give it a shot, I have no choice. Not to stereotype, but some street scalpers are obvioulsy scalpers and not cops. You have to use some street smarts and common sense. This news works in favor of brokers. They probably hope everyone pulls the trigger today. -
Comiskey Park security bubble to be in place

I'm sure sceurity will be tight, but I bet a lot of this is a bluff. The red line for example, is within a block of the park. So if I lived in the neighborhood, got off at 35th to go home, I'll have a problem? -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 08:24 AM) Judging by the amount of undercover officers and feds they are talking about being around the park, I wouldn't try it at all. It's illegal to SELL tix for higher than face value. It's not illegal to BUY them for above face value, right? So, if I'm out there just looking what can I be arrested for? Looking? -

If anyone is planning on buying game 1 tix from scalpers at the park, can you post any tips for those us that will be trying for game 2? Thx. -

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Oh. 'Cuse me. I missed the "Code". Have fun standing in line at the box office for about 20 tickets. No I missed the code.
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) i doubt ANYONE will know the answer to this. or if they do, they won't say it. Ohhh, I see, it's THAT kind of party. Well then I guess it's time to go breathe down people's necks at the will call line tomorrow night at 9:01. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
-
In the unlikely event that at 9:00 PM tomorrow night some tix are unclaimed at will call, how will those tix be put back into circulation? Will the box office at the park sell them at 9:01? Since the Will Call window will have the actual tix, will they be sold from there at 9:01? Will they be available on line at 9:01? Will they go on sale the following morning? anyone?
-
That's awesome.
-
Add another day and milk it.
-
I think that gift should go to season ticket holders only. Some guy who can afford $10,000 to buy tix from a broker doesn't need any more 'freebies'.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) My interpretation o that is that you 'missed it by that much.' I think the system is adjusting the number you can pull when cancellations are put back into the mix, and somebody just scooped you. It wasn't me, sadly, though I've been tryin g to randomly pull that miracle ticket off the site for the last two days. That's what I thought but it went on for like 20 minutes. Both Saturday and Sunday switched back and forth from 1 to 4 a few times.
-
OK, now it's happening to me. I went onto TM and looked under both Saturday and Sunday. In both instances, I was able to pull the drop box down and select 4. Both times there were no tix available. I wnet back and tried for 1 ticket, again, no tix available. Why does it allow you to ask for 4 , if even 1 is not available??

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 11:24 AM) That is very big IMO. Like everyone is saying, alot of runs are not going to be scored this series, so you cant blow chances when you have people on base. All of these games will come down to which team blinks first. I see a few heartbreakers (for them) due to stupid mistakes.

research study about the Sox fan base
LosMediasBlancas replied to LosMediasBlancas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
LOL, hell yeah, I've got a bed reserved at the detox clinic for early November. -
Sorry to miss the point, but how exactly did you guys find out that they realeased some more tix at 4:00 yesterday?
-
Stay with what has gotten us here. You gotta dance with the girl you brought to the ball. Keys: Solid starting pitching Get Pods on base and score early Do not let their big boppers beat you Do not beat yourselves in the field or on the bases.

QUOTE(wherehaveyougoneharold @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) "Contrary to Wrigley's image as the largest bar on the North Side, Sox fans actually drink more beer and wine than Cubs fans do: 54 percent drank beer within the last month, compared with 47 percent of Cubs supporters." That's because our team's still playing.... um.... um... SCOREBOARD!!! I don't think the question specified where you drank the beer, just if you've had beer. -
As I sit here in my trailer, on my cardboard box bed, shirtless and drunk, admiring my new NASCAR tatoos, with my sister/lover brushing my mullet, I am stunned to find this out: http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-nws-soxfan20.html

http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-nws-soxbox20.html Who was BS-ing?
-
A few of our hitters faced Clemens and Pettite when they were still in the AL. I'm not sure if any of the Astros have faced our starters. Contreras, Mark, Jon, Freddy, Duque, Big Bad Bobby Jenks, Cotts have not pitched in the NL. Then again have any of hitters faced Oswalt or Lidge? Advantage Sox?? Crash Rowand playing that stupid hill in center makes me nervous.
-
That logo on the field gave me goose bumps. I HAVE to see that in person.

Who should throw out the first Pitch for game 1?

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Actually, that's the only game they've lost so far. But we won the series. I'm shocked you'd see the glass half empty though. -
Thx guys.
