  1. ...a few of their numbers that worked just yesterday now say 'Not in service'.
  2. This moment reminds me of the 1st time I got really, really drunk and I had my head in the toilet promising God all the things I'd do if he'd just make it stop. "God, if you allow me to get WS tix, I will never, ever......."
  3. uh oh, welcome to the land of fast busy signals.
  4. If you follow it through, it will tell you: not on sale yet.
  5. How are all those numbers working right about now?
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...season/alcs.jsp Are you that hapless? thx. that buy option was not there earlier.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) On the official Sox site, has anyone been able to get to a 'buy' prompt? Where is it exactly?? Bueller? Bueller?
  8. On the official Sox site, has anyone been able to get to a 'buy' prompt? Where is it exactly??
  9. FYI, the Ticketmaster numbers now ask you right off the bat if want to purchase WS tix, then they dump you into another bank.........and then you usually get a busy signal. It's only 9:20 am.
  10. Regardless of how we do in the WS, the guy has totally discredited himself this year. Hopefully this will be the last time his name comes up on Sox Talk. He's DONE.
  11. THE least absurd pricing I have found is with Gold Coast Tickets. I have used them many times for sporting and concert events.
  12. So wait, you guys bought season tix and didn't find out IMMEDIATELY if you have WS tix???!!! Man, I sure hope you guys don't end up getting screwed.
  13. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) rock you get through to anyone? I have been trying to call the sales dept since steff posted this and its been busy the whole time.... Gee, who might they be talking to? Hmmmm, I wonder who might be buying all those season tix for '06. Who could possibly spring for all that cash on such short notice?
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) Just what I was thinking. It's a smart business plan, though. I can't really fault them, I'm just pissed that I probably won't get to attend a World Series game for this team. That's pretty dissappointing, but if I get the chance to stay home from school tomorrow, I'll have at least three phones working, one computer working, and my brother working another phone and computer down at his apartment. Smart indeed. The next time people ask themselves if Ticketmaster, brokers and people selling the events are working together, look no further than the '05 WS. Basically, brokers who were already looking for season tickets to scalp in '06, can buy them and as a reward, they get to buy WS tickets for this year. Genius and all perfectly legal. I love it.
  15. Do all the smaller ticket plans count? Wait a minute, this was done JUST for scalpers. Think about it, they win all the way around There will be NOTHING tomorrow.
  16. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Honestly, if we win it all, I don't think I will have any "hatred" of the Cubs or their fans again. I just want my team to get there first, after that, I don't care what the Cubs and their fans do or say. Heck, as of now even, there is no other team in this town, IMO. I've always said when the Sox win the WS, I'll brag like hell for 1 year and then I'll become one of those 'Chicago' fans who roots for all Chicago teams.
  17. I thought his double off the wall in the 9th was gone. That would have been the icing. Mr. Konerko, I will no longer call you 'Palsy'.
  18. Funny how in '03 when they won a playoff series that's ALL they talked and bragged about. But now that it's us, there are no bragging rights unless we win it all? Ha, we have something they haven't had in a looooooong time. LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP baby. Until they get there, WE have the upper hand.
  19. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Damn!! It was someone from my bro's sorority, er, fraternity ( ) offering the deal, and it sounded like it was put together by a fraternity alumni group or something. Damn Damn Damn. on Thursday, he said they had 75 slots left and I thought he was bluffing, trying to get it all sold at at that price.
  20. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) My brother had the Fan Deck deal offered to him for a ALCS Game 7, for $400 including some buffet spread for pregame. That seemed just a littlesteep for the ALCS, but the deal was supposedly that if the ALCS didn't go 7 then the tix would roll over to WS Game. I don't know how they could have offered that guarantee, and my bro was dubious so he passed. He's kicking himself HARD right now. I am too. We're talking about the same deal! 400 bucks, all you can eat and drink from an hour and a half before game, til the end of the 7th AND the ticket to the fan deck. It was either gonna be for game 7 of the ALCS, which would have truned into game 1 of the WS. Make that 3 of us kicking ourselves. Tried to reach the guy this morning, he said about 65 Cub fans got the remaining tix on saturday.
  21. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Hopefully the increased supply after tomorrow means that the price will go down. Hook or crook, I'm going to Game 1. If all else fails, I'm going to be outside the park the whole time. This is the WS, the normal rules go out the window. Every corporate stiff, bandwagonner and Cub fan will buy tix tomorrow. I don't think the supply will be there come game time. Don't forget how close St. Louis is to Chicago. Add that rabid fan base to the mix and you have an impossible ticket to find. I'd say if you see a reasonable price, buy asap.
  22. I read that and I think that report might have come out late Saturday. Coop said after Sunday morning, Duque threw and felt fine. That would explain him warming up yesterday.
  23. ......and to make your stomach turn even more. Someone I knew was selling packages for game 1 on the fan deck.....all gone. Purchased by?.. drum roll please... CUB FANS yeeeay wooo-hooooo!
  24. I can never tell if my computer is actually searching or if it's frozen. Sometimes I get the 'searching' message up with the colored bars running back and forth, but it starts over and over again, so it looks like it's refreshed. Other times the bar gets half way across and just stops. I can never tell when I should just start over because it's frozen, or ride it out because I'm almost in. Help.
  25. QUOTE(Irishsox1 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) I had 4 tickets on the computer for game 1 of the ALCS and when I hit the delivery method, a Proxy Error screen poped up and my tickets were released. The same thing happened to my friend who was trying to get tickets. That totally sucked. Something tells me that it will happen again. see, your computer doesn't send the special signal back to Ticketmaster letting them know that you are a broker, so they released your tickets back to them. eerrrr, I mean, due to the high volume of connections, there will be some 'lost' wink-wink orders and Ticketmaster apologizes for the inconvenience.
