  1. Besides the MLB board, does anyone know of any Cardinal boards, similar to Sox Talk? Thx.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) Why would the Sox have Billy Pierce throw out the first pitch of the World Series game 1 if he already threw out the first pitch for game 1 of the ALCS? That is incredibly lame. Good luck? It worked once, go with it again.
  3. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 11:05 AM) Do people really think that the rivalry would go away, even if both teams brought home trophies? I think not. I think the rivalry would be there, just as intense, even if the Chicago ballclubs won alternating championships for the next 10 years. You might be right, but if both teams went back and forth with WS wins for a while, at least it would finally BE a rivalry.

    Condoms

Oh what the hell, I'll bite. It has been a looooooooong time (thank God) since I've had to use one, but I remember this. They had a very latex kinda smell to them, very much like a balloon. I also remember as a kid, I'd put ballons in my mouth and the taste was frickin horrible. I can't imgine what you could possibly add to a condom that would mask that awful taste.
  5. How do you guys feel about this? Didn't the NBA use hip hop and the culture as a means to gain young inner city interest?? http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/5003470
  6. If the situation being reversed means that the Sox have not been to a WS since 1959, then I go with the Twins. BUT if the Sox have already won a WS of their own, then I'd root for the Cubs. We have to win it next. Then they can win it and we can drop the stupid 'rivalry'.
  7. QUOTE(maki @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 09:31 AM) cards make the series, throw all this out the window as you're adding probably 5k people looking for tix. I agree. Can you imagine the price for WS tix at Busch?
  8. Ok, after checking with like 20 different brokers, the cheapest price I have found is 700 bucks for the worst seat in the house. I don't see anyone biting at that price. I'm pretty sure you will do MUCH better by just showing up to the park on game day and working the parking lots. Don't sweat it guys, bring cash, wait them out and we will get in.
  9. None of them really do it for me, so all four at once I guess. That's about the only way it would be interesting.
  10. I'd like to know who they surveyed and if 'partner' means just spouses or bfs and gfs too.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) If getting tix become more difficult at the expense of winning a World Series, you won't see me complaining. You and I might not complain, but just wait.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) They don't sell Cubs/Sox tickets to the public. You had to buy at least a 13 game package to get them in 2005. It will probably be worse for 2006. Getting tix in '06 will be interesting. Who said: "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it."
  13. I want this logo, but on a long sleeve T shirt. http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod...rentPage=family Blow it up, it's sweet.
  14. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Nope...nope...that stuff never works...don't even bother trying...never...ever...ever works...just give up...you'll never get one...move along kids... Ok, so based on what you've 'heard' from someone, not you of course, who might possibly have scored tix this way........how long does it take the system to reject CC and put those tix back into circulation??
  15. Good question. I'm sure a very small % get rejected for bad cards, duplicate orders etc. When and where do those go back up?
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) Whoa....whoah, that shouldn't be in green Alex On the bright side, my Brandon McCarthy jersey came in the mail today. Looks freaking sweet. Now hopefully he turns into the pitcher he's capable of being and was down the stretch Wow, I guess you didn't hear. B-Mac was traded today.
  17. :headshake More bad news, I just looked on Craig's List, there are probably just as many people looking for tix and offering crazy loot, as there are people selling tix.
  18. I can't wait to see the crowd at these games. The crowd at game 1of the ALCS was really lame. I'm sure some of the f***ers that'll be at the WS haven't left their castles to mingle with the riff raff in a loooooooong time.
  19. Why does it still give you the option to buy a single ticket and then instead of the password, a bid red X comes up?
  20. Uh, how much longer should I believe my wait time is 10 minutes and that an actual 'search' is taking place? Here's a shocker for ya. Guess who suddenly has pages on top of pages full of tickets for sale? C'mon, take 1 guess? You got it. TICKET BROKERS, woooo-hooooo. The same ones who only had a few, say and hour ago. I wonder how they were able to get so many so soon?
  21. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) How about calling ticketmaster in different states??? that's what we're talking about.
