Sorry to everyone affected by it. This is not at all to make fun of deadly diseases, but Chris Rock did a bit on drugs and cures. He said the money is not in the cure, it's in the drugs. The Gov. and pharm. companies are the biggest drug dealers. Why would they find a cure?....then there's no money to be made. People make careers off of 'researching a cure' for cancer, aids etc. He goes on talk about Jerry's kids and where all that money for all those years has gone. He makes a good point. It's all part of 'the big conspiracy'. ....don't get me started on it.

There is a small article in today's Sun Times about how ticket sales for the Baltimore series have been boosted due to them acquring Sammy. Boyer is quoted as saying he is taking suggestions from Sox fans about having some kind of promotion for those games, like smashing a boom box. Personally, I think we should let whatever happens happen. We often get critized for being obsessed with the Cubs and not our own team, so let's not use frickin' Sammy Sosa as a sales pitch. That would play right into the stereotype. What do you guys think?

I have a feeling both sides really, really want it to be Maggs and they're really struggling to make it work somehow. Never count Hendry out. Maggs might settle for a 1 year deal with the Cubs. Not sure, but it's worth giving it a shot. It has a similar feel to 'Shawshank' because Morgan Freeman narrates throughout the whole film. It takes a really good twist, I think you'll enjoy it. Let's assume Maggs signs with Detroit. Finally saw 'Friday Night Lights'. Not bad, don't wnat to give too much away, but I liked the focus on the outcome of the final game. It was good to see a sports film focus on that side of it. So many of them are fomulaic and you see the outcome coming a mile away.
