  1. ANAHEIM = fun place No tailgating and no signs . Notice security is about to tell her to put it down.
  2. QUOTE(Wanne @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) I swear...I'm only 6 hours away drivin...I'm seriously thinkin about drivin out and scalpin a couple for tomorrow night's game. Should be fairly easy with Angel fans in the dumps. If you do pick up my son in Lake Havasu on your way.
  3. Today I'm going to run over to Best Buy and splurge on a digital cam with a good zoom for the game today. If the Sox clinch I'm getting a DVD recorder so I can record the World Series on DVD. I should be able to find some tickets from a scalper today. I'll be there bright and early with the rest of the Anaheim crew.
  4. TRAIN KEPTA ROLLIN' ALL NIGHT LONG , TRAIN KEPTA ROLLIN' ALL NIGHT LONG........ I'LL BE THERE, I'LL BE THERE AT THE GAME TOMMORROW ..I'LL BE THERE. hELL yEAH !!!!!!
  5. Anyone got a ticket for sunday's game ? Message me if u do.
  6. How long do u think your going to stay there ? I probably won't make it to Anaheim till around 4:15 .Can we all meet in the park sometime during the game or after the game also ?
  7. LAX or Burbank Airport is probably the closest u will get to Anaheim through SWA but don't quote me on that. Check their schedule and see if they fly into any Orange County airports .
  8. I'm going Friday have to get off work early. Will leave by 3:30 hopefully from Pasadena. Won't have too much time to party beforehand. But make something definite either in the Stadium or before or after the game or all 3 and I'll be there with another Soxtalk dude Oh by the way any of you So Cal Sox fans tell me here or PM me if you want to become a member of the So Cal Chapter of SoxTalk. Tannerfan & Ginger Kid and anyone else not on my list at the bottom of my post feel free to join in . Jason and Trevor (hi8is) are members already. My seats are section V537 Row N seats 9 & 10. 9. QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) What newspaper, Boston Globe Hey kid , don't let anyone around here bully you. If that was a serious question then I applaude your quest for knowledge. I didn't see anyone telling you the answer if it was indeed a serious question. DePloderer is from Great Britain so I assume he meant the Sunday LONDON Times. I see no reason for an admin to call you out about your posts. That is just wrong. Sometimes I'm amazed that people think the ignorant are stupid. Ignorance is lack of knowledge not stupidity. If you were trying to be funny, try using green font and nevermind my rant.
  10. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 10:03 AM) You all must suffer my fate: http://stage.vitaminic.com/donna_summer/ Give it a listen .. let it drum in .. let it haunt you. :lol Juggs , what are you doing listening to the Donna Summer version of that song ??? You are a blasphemer !! Listen to the original by Steam or don't listen at all.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Exactly Dikta wasnt even a good coach.... but yet gets treated like he is a saint around here.... If we are going to parade around celebrating guys it should be Payton and Halas. Parade around dead guys ?? Ewwww !!!
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) He is making fun of Felix for saying that he would give PK 18 million a while back. Might not get to $18 mill but I wouldn't bet against 4-5 yrs at $15 mill. annually. If we could offer Mags that kinda contract we can offer it to Paulie.
  13. I liked it. Given your excited state I'll forgive the over extended tangents. I was stuck listening to the game on ESPN radio in Cali. You think ESPN TV sucks . Try this out. Around the 7th inning they cut away from the Sox game to go to the Angels PRE game show . NOt the game the PRE game. The actual game was still like 45-60 minutes from starting ! Talk about pissed off.
  14. QUOTE(BuehrleBabe @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) LOL I like that one, but my dad would possibly have a heart attack seeing his two daughters wearing a shirt with that on it Meaning no disrespect to your dad but when this happens once every 88 years you should throw caution to the wind. If the search engines were back on , I posted something in April or May asking the exact same thing you did. At that time I really felt this was going to be our year. In the midst of our celebratory mood let me apologize that you wer not greeted properly. Welcome to Soxtalk
  15. Did Reynolds actually play at the Cell ? When did he retire ?
  16. Was That the Bears out there ?? 2 touchdowns 2 extra pts against a safety. What a pummeling . Just remember in 59' the Sox won 11-0 in the 1st game against the Dodgers. The Yankees won game 3 last yr 19-8 led the series 3-0 at that point and Boston still came back. That being said Boston's pitching isn't as good as last year so let's keep the mo'.
  17. Yea Pat Kelly. He played with Melton and Carlos May and Dick Allen and Jim Kaat probably Bucky Dent ,Terry Forster and Goose Goosage . Had some real talented players on that 73" team. Don't know if my memory is right of who was on the that team . I liked those red pinstriped uni's . RIP Pat and God bless your family.
  18. I'd like to make it to Tin Horn Flats for some of the games against Boston. Unfortunately I work Tuesday and I can only make night games if there are any. Feel free to use my list at the bottom of my message to contact any other So Cal Sox fans. If you make anything definite for Tin Horn Flats that I can make I will be there. Also pin the message.
  19. I never considered myself superstitious but my true colors showed as we lost game after game and the lead shrunk so fast. Thoroughly disappointed by the "choke" avatars, I joined the Rally Crede group to show my support. But even then I didn't think I was being superstitious . I was just supporting the group of fans here who wanted a more positive approach. In the key game of the season where the "Rally Crede" kicked in the Sox were behind 2-0. I had recently picked up one of those mini-bats that are given away on Bat day. It said Cleveland Indian's on it. After Joe hit his 1st homerun to tie the game I jumped up grabbed the mini bat and burned off the words Cleveland Indians hoping to silence their bats. Needless to say, as we all know, Crede's 2nd homer gave the Sox the much needed win. Although the Sox lost the next game against the Indians and the 1st 2 games with Detroit ,the Indian's bat's did indeed fall silent against Tampa Bay. We won the next 2 games and the division was ours !
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Fearing a choke is one thing. Believing it is going to happen is another. That's saying nothing about "bragging" that it will happen by putting up that avatar. Piss poor excuse for a fan, if you ask me. And if you don't ask me, consider it said anyway. I'm sure we all had that fear. Let's face it , we owe Tampa Bay a share of the playoff money. As far as the choke avatar goes, I'm in agreement with you Yas. You and I both have been around to see more disappointing seasons then most of the guys here but would never consider "expecting" a choke. Diff'rent strokes I guess.
  21. Hey JC , JC you're alright by me hanna ho hanna hey Superstar. From the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar if anyone cares.
