That pitch was a foot off the plate Cub retards.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 19, 2007 -> 03:16 PM) How f***ing lucky can you get? He completely missed that ball, and it still hit his foot. He is from the Toby Hall school of 1B fielding.

Darryl Ward is our best player.

3 ground balls, that is encouraging.

Nice play by Juana to make up for the pathetic AB earlier.

That would never happen to A-Rod.

Bruce Campbell
Did anyone see Bubba Ho Tep? I was thinking of renting it. I was just curious what others thought of it.

2nd Baseman Options 2008
QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 14, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) I wonder how much that would cost? Trade Crede for Figgins+ (bring up Fields) , don't resign Dye, Gooch, Erstad or Pods. 2008 C - Pierzynski 1B - Konerko 2B - Castillo SS - Uribe 3B - Fields RF - Sweeney CF - Hunter LF - Anderson DH - Thome Bench - Figgins, Hall, Mackowiak, Ozuna, and someone other than Cintron That isn't a very impressive lineup. I sincerely doubt we will go with a rookie 3B, a 2nd year OF and a 3rd year OF hated by our manager next year.

More proof that Ozzie is an idiot
Another gem from today's Daily Herald... http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/whitesox.asp?id=312503 He plays too hard? You already threw Uribe under the bus in the media, why not just say Erstad is injury prone and you need to protect him while you are at it?

Funny story on the Royals' ineptitude
Gotta love the Posnanski articles. He never gets old.

Guillen leans toward demoting Sweeney
In our batting order today Sweeney had the second highest average on the team (only Uribe's was better). Let's demote him and have some scrub like Terrero play. Great idea.

Cintron back on bereavement list
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 12, 2007 -> 11:16 PM) I can't think of anyone at AAA right now who I think will contribute much. Not even Fields. Toby Hall says he hates you.

Films
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ May 12, 2007 -> 03:56 PM) Lizard could be in it, Carnage, Shocker could be, Scorpion, Venom, Mysterio, Sandman, Electro. Just what I remember from the TV series they used to show long time ago, certainly enough characters to continue the series. Like you said Lizard makes sense because the Dr. still has some of that goo. Marvel does have a 5 year contract that they signed in 2006 so Id like to think they make more. What about Kingpin?

Clemens back to the Yankees
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 7, 2007 -> 09:35 AM) Danny Wright beat him on my birthday in 2002 in Yankee Stadium something like 8-1. Jeff Liefer took the Rocket halfway up the 3rd deck in RF. I still remember the moon shot from Liefer as well. Was probably one of the best home runs I have ever seen. He absolutely crushed that thing.

Clemens back to the Yankees
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 6, 2007 -> 06:22 PM) The last time the Sox played against a Yankee Clemens was fun. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NY...200308260.shtml I think that was the last time we had 3 OF with an OPS over .800.

These statistics explain a lot...reality or not?
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 5, 2007 -> 07:32 PM) A lot of the Angels fans want to trade for Matt Holliday, Garret Atkins or Chris Duncan... And they already have Rivera (injured), Willits, Murphy, Figgins, Anderson, Vladdy and GMJ. A lot of White Sox fans want a real CF and 1 hole hitter who gets on base better than 30% of the time.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ May 4, 2007 -> 10:00 PM) Doesn't Erstad have a clause in his deal that gets him "x million" next year if he hits "x AB's" this year? 6 Mil if he gets 600 PA's

QUOTE(fathom @ May 4, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) Wait a few more starts until Sheets is on th DL. I thought he signed a 3 yr deal before last year? http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/7007/soxp...ctsheetiyi1.jpg According to the Kalapse'omatic payroll chart he is signed through 09.
