I saw him when I was walking into the park, but I soo didn't think it was him. I thought it was just me having one of those "that person looks exactly like an athlete I know" incidents, beard and all. He was just walking with two guys. It just didn't occur to me that it was really him, hah.

The sox just need a well pitched/defended game with enough runs to win to get them back on track. Hopefully Buehrle steps it up.

Solid trade. My dbacks fan friend was always really high on Cintron, and he felt the dbacks really screwed up his progression and he felt they were stupid for looking to trade him and what not. I was really rooting for Bajenaru to make it here, but hopefully he'll finally get a chance with the dbacks. Their bullpen is like 3945years old collectively, they'll have to have room for him!! Sad story, this is probably the best for him. I always enjoyed watching him pitch and I hope he's back soon. My cubs fan friend is pretty much his biggest fan so she's extremely crushed at the thought of her favorite player suddenly stop playing at such an early point in his career.

Bummer. I was really looking forward to seeing BMac pitch. Oh well. GO JOSE! Hopefully his forkball is working.

I'm so excited. This is the only thing I've been looking forward to..for like weeks. BMac won't disappoint us! It'll be sooo sad facing El Duque, though. Remember the last time the sox faced a former teammate in ST? It didn't turn out too pretty...oh Carlos Lee.. I can't wait to hear Hawk/DJ. Hopefully the offense can get something going.

This thread made my day. Yay for baseball returning. Don't forget that ST stats are pretty much worthless. Wasn't the sox record last ST not so great? Look how that season turned out! I'm just excited to get a look at our prospects and the lefties vying for a spot in the pen.

I think I'll be there just Friday for my third year in a row. I'm excited because I didn't think I'd be able to land tickets but I'm going to have to overpay for some. I'm cool with that, it's so worth it but my dad doesn't think so. Oh well. My plan is to stand in one autograph line(for the not so popular players. someone like brian anderson or rob mackowiak) and then hit a seminar for the first time. Should be fun! Hopefully it's not crazy crowded.
