Dunn and Peavy, happy to not play
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 11, 2012 -> 03:34 PM) Dunn told Washington to let Butler take his at-bats. A very classy move. Exactly! Dunn impresses me with how he handles himself, adversity and his support of others. I think we have quite a few of those types on our team too. It's a great chemistry

Heath sent down
I would have liked to have seen him pitch. But, anyway let him get work in at AAA and the team prepares for the return on Humber. That will be followed in about a month or so with Danks returning. How long before Crain is good to go? Whenever that time is for the three injured guys I think their retuirn will be a shot in the arm for the pitching staff.

Peavy named to All Star Team
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 9, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) I don't. I hope AJ stays snubbed, Napoli goes 0-4 with 4ks and AJ plays the second half mad as hell. I like this idea. But, I think we are deserving on some more All-Stars. AJ certainly but we seem to miss Alex Rios. What a season he is having!

GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 05:40 PM) I thought Deunte Heath was supposed to start this game? I seem to recall that today's start was the reason he was called up... Not sure whyt he was called up now. Omogrosso only pitched an inning or so and now Heath sits. I guess they are just insurance at this point and when Crain and Humber and Danks are back they are first two to go down

White Sox may go after Starting Pitching
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 05:55 PM) I'd agree with this...but if we're interested in going after a top flight starter, he's the best chip the team has. Agree with this. But, now I think if that type of deal presented itself I would not be trading Viciedo for a rental player.

White Sox may go after Starting Pitching
A top starter like Grienke or even Mark Buerhle coming back are great thoughts as far as an additon is concerned, but being realisitic what is the costopther than in money? Many times the return on an injured player and in this case it's Danks and Humbe can solidify your staff and they come back pitching well meaning we get a boost. I am just not sold on a trade yet but things can certainly present themselves in the next 3 weeks or so that help you make that decision one way or the other

White Sox may go after Starting Pitching
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 11:45 PM) If they really plan to shutdown SALE, and Danks is out for the year, I see no other option. I don't think they are considering "shutting Sale down." I think there is a difference between limiting his innings and giving him, and others also, a longer rest in between starts and shutting him down

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 07:05 PM) Half of the Yankees roster is ex-Sox. I think this may have been KW's plan all along? Infiltrate the Yankees and when October comes along they all fold for their old team.

Baseball on TV for the Out of Towner
WGN-A for the last game before the All-Star break. Axlerod on short rest and hopefully a short leash as we have a rested bullpen full of young talent eager to win
-
GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
Let's get er done
-
What bullpen guys should KW go after?
Jesse Crain, if healthy, equals a trade for a relief pitcher. The problem is that Crain has not really overcome his spring injury. But, if he comes back ready to play in late July or so we have a real good set up man to work with Thornton and the others. We have so many rookies in pressure situations that an experienced pitcher might be good. However, quite possibly these young guys don't know they are supposed to be scared.

Dunn called out on strikes on a 85 MPH fastball. Equal opportunity I guess
-
GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
With this soft tosser I hope the Sox can be patiuent and not over swing. I mean for crying out loud a fastball at 85 to 88 MPH?!

Aj A clubhouse cancer?
I certainly hope we keep AJ for at least a couple more years. The move to bring AJ to the Sox was one of the best ones made by the team

Was on the road for two days and DVR'd the ESPN Wed night game. Stayed up and watched it last night. What a game! Doing the same for this afternoons game

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 04:51 PM) I wonder if that changes given the fact that Axelrod threw a decent amount of pitches last night. Could be Heath or Omogrosso IMO

I f*cking love Kevin Youkilis
I am sorry I doubted Youklis. Even with a potential bad back issue at some point he is 100% an improvedment for the Sox at 3B. I have really enjoyed watching him and seeing hnis intensity and production. It can't do anything but make this team better
