  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 07:49 PM) elrockin, Peter Gammons tweeted on Friday that the White Sox offered Soler somewhere between $25-30 million. If they offered that much to Soler, the same may be available for this kid. Did anyone inside the organization confirm that? I know what you are saying, but as is stated later in posts July 2nd is amagic date and I am betting that the kid doesn't get hs needed paperwork until after that. I wonder when all of Cuban baseball defects Got to save some money for all the others
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 07:41 PM) I don't know where the line will be drawn, but they won't stay with Humber if he keeps being this bad. There needs to be a line drawn at some point, but I don't know when it will be either. Maybe after the All-Star break. I would have thought they would have done it by now, but that perfect game looms in the background. You always hope he can turn it around
  3. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) Too bad Cuba's 3B won't defect.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 06:10 PM) You have to like that Torres is involved, that gives us at least a 50/50 chance if we really want him one would imagine. He knows how well our Cuban players have been treated, the example most recently being the Contreras/Ramirez gold medel "re-awarding." That sounds good and all, but I think it is important to remember that this is a business first and foremost
  5. QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 06:07 PM) Anyone think KW takes a look at him? I heard rumors and read stories that we have no money and attendance is down, etc.
  6. Peavy can turn this around for us I am sure. After last nights fiasco and beat down this team better show some life. I will be there behind the big screen tonight, which I am sure will help the team rally
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 02:23 AM) Bet Detroit is in on him. Any real name that is mentioned out there as trade bait and you bet Detroit is looking at him
  8. Please disregard my previous POST. Now Stewart has given up two 2-run homers On the other side Garza is pitching like a Cy Young wannabe and driving up his trade value at our expense
  9. Wow! One hit is all we have. Just checked in and in looking over gameday I see that as usual we give up a homer and that's the difference. What happened to our offense today and Sunday?
  10. I think you have to put your bench players in to keep them sharp. I would mind seeing them played a bit more by Robin Ventuira.
  11. It looks like we see the Cubs and Sox on WGN on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Should see all three games but of course MLB network is now following the Yankees as is ESPN, TBS and Fox
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) His upper body/momentum left early...but his foot was still in contact with the bag, so Darling or Jerry Meals were definitely wrong. Umpires weren't in a great position to see the play, and strange for the 3B ump to defer to the home plate ump when he should have been the one to make the call. Jesus, Ethier is playing the hell out of RF today. TGhe umps are never wrong when the play goes in our favor. Remember that!
  13. Dunn is not on his game today unless you are talkin K'sHe has left runners in scoring posiiton twice today
  14. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) I wonder what the numbers say about Uribe. I remember him being really clutch. I wonder if the numbers would back my memory. Didn't he have the highest success rate of bringing in runners from 3rd with less than 2 outs a couple times? He was clutch I think also. Kind of like Herbert Perry in 2000
  15. Quintana at only 53 pitchers through 5. Keep this up and maybe he has a complete game chance?
  16. Uribe gets a double. I cringe when he comes to bat because he can put ac harge into that ball. I always liked Juan as a White Sox player. Great glove man wherever you put him in the infield but a bit unpredicatable at the plate
  17. Let's win today & head back to Chitown ready to skin a cub or 25
  18. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 12:55 PM) Didn't get to see the game but DAMN! Looking at the box score, hat was some bullpen work. I did see the game on TV. Humber had only one pitch and that was his fastball. He was hit often and hard. Granted he battled but it was not pretty. Hawk & Stone were not pleased. I think Humber only threw like one or two good curves. He just rolled them up there. The bullpen won the game for us
  19. Hudson is tgrying the best he can I think. They guy is playing out of position and re-learning 3B. We are in first place and maybe his defense has helped keep us there? No need to to panic
  20. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 01:37 PM) I have tickets to this game. I want a refund! I was expecting to wear my black Peavy Jersey. This is bulls***! Stewart pitching? What are they planning to give the regulars an extra day of rest?
  21. I will be there behind the big screen in my living room. WGN and MLB Network have this game. I will watch WGN. I have agood feeling about this game
