  1. What would this team be without Castro? Good move to have him hee backing up AJ. Hope he stays next year too
  2. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:28 AM) Good point. It's really impressive that Juan has put up a .350 OBP when that includes the first month of the season where he did almost nothing. I questioned the move when it was made, but Juan is a gamer
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:26 AM) Nice inning for Pena, come on offense, keep it going How long will he stay? five innings maybe if he continues to pitch good
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:25 AM) It's sad what we have to show for the 5 big trades we've made in last two years. Who would have thought Pierre would be the best trade? I hear you
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:21 AM) He really does strike out far too often for someone with no power But remember he was to be our answer at 3B and was even signed to an extension. Yeah right!
  6. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 03:55 AM) That is pathetic. Our relief corps just wants to make sure everyone of them has had the chance to blow the game by giving up the bomb or a two out hit in the oppositions last at bat.
  7. Get two strikes on Teahan and thrown any type of a breaking ball and he is dead meat
  8. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:05 AM) The Sox will get owned by Bullington tonight. They won't score more than 2 runs.... Have they seen him before? If not you could be right
  9. Didn't you all feel sorry for that there Gordon guy trying hard to hang in there against Sale and lay down the bunt? I thoiught he might have poo pooed in his pants. I love that Chris Sale. The Nats have nothing over on us as far as a power rookie piotcher. Now my question is why did Ozzie take him out for Jenks?
  10. I don't like doubleheaders much either, but if this team stays motivated anything can happen. I wqould hope the Sox look at Edwin Jackson for one of those games or do some rearranging of the starters as they did have the off day as well as one on Monday so they should be rested
  11. We shouldn't be worried about who we play or where we play, etc, but just play and win
  12. I fearlessly predict we will win some and lose some through the next 41 games.
  13. As soon as I win the Powerball Lottery I am buying the Sox and then I will make the decisions. You all just wait!
  14. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 08:30 AM) He needs to develop an off speed pitch. I think he uses his curve or slider for that, but when you through as fast as he does and can LOCATE it right he is unhittable
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) We need to go to the closest Shell station and have a gasoline fight near my jeep. insurance fraud anyone?
  16. I predict we shave off Pavano's mustache and don't even use lubricant
  17. We are still in a pennant race and bumps and slumps along the road to October are to be expected. A win on Thursday would do us a solid though
  18. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 01:52 PM) M56 pitches well. The bats are lively. Sox bullpen struggles a bit. Sox win 6-4. I am hoping MB doesn't give up a dozen hits, but instead finds that pinpoint control and we win
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 03:33 AM) We are 4-10 against the Twins. Our awful manager is going off the deep-end and wants us all to f*** off. We play with no effort and refuse to take any sort retaliation or do anything of note against our archrivals. Things are going just great. It's tough being a Sox fan right now, but this too will pass
  20. The comment was made that we need to beat the Twins more than 4 times in 25 games and I agree. But maybe the next four games will be the Sox turn to win? I ain't givin in to no stinkin Twins and neither should you. It ain't ovah till it's ovan someone once said and that's not till the end of the season or the math just don't add up anymore
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) Everyone he puts out there in the 9th, they lose it. How is that his fault? It ain't his fault-it's their fault
