  1. He was sure putting some good swings on the ball today
  2. Saw the game and it was a Sox winnah!
  3. I could feel very strongly both ways about this if someone would tell me what it means
  4. Marquez didn't have a very good showing for his first inning pitched in the bigs. Gave up a two run homer. He should go down and Hudson be up on Sunday
  5. Get to see Floyd against Bannister and hopefully the 7th in a row for the Sox
  6. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 02:21 AM) I will be at the game cheering hard for another Billy Butler DP. That is one guy we have to get out for sure
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) What the hell is up with our defense lately. 6 errors in 2 games. Surehanded Vizquel with 2 in two games/
  8. The Sox want Dunn badly and that's the line from ESPN BBTN. Question is how much do the Nats want and are they really that willing to trade a big hitter like Dunn? If Dunn is a FA after this season then I think we should pass on him. Do we need more pitching now? Cliff Lee, who is also a free agent after this season or possibly Roy Ostwalt? Or do we keep our home grown talent Dn Hudson and see what we have. I do not like rapeing the farm system for one year rentals.
  9. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 07:13 AM) He sure as hell has Uribe's plate discipline. That is a great observation
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) Sounds like this could have been avoided if they did an MRI after the KC start, but because the MRI a week before that came back clean, they decided not to do another one. At this point, hopefully he's fine for 2011. What pitchers have come back from this injury in the past? Agreed. Sounds like he is done for 2010
  11. I would try and trade for Cliff Lee if we can't get another bat at the right price. Of course Lee might be pretty costly too, but is he signable after this year? The Twinkies might have money right now
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 08:03 PM) Peters used to pinch hit, too That goes without saying but you said it
  13. QUOTE (StatManDu @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) Johan Santana homered and pitched a complete game shutout for the Mets on Tuesday night. The last time that happened for the Sox was on Aug. 2, 1969 when Gary Peters went deep and limited the Tigers to six singles in a 5-0 win in Detroit. Now you know Gary Peters was a real good hitting pitcher. In fact I believe it was Eddie Stanky who actually batted Peters like #6 in the Sox lineup becasue he was considered a better hitter than the posiiton players usually hitting 7th-8th or 9th for the Sox back in about the 67-68-69 seasons.
  14. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) LITSCHASFDSFHESS f***ING SUCKS. Gazzoonheight
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:33 AM) I looooove the Sodfather.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) He had an excellent catch tonight as well that they keep showing. What about that game a couple days ago? A homer I think or at least a game winning hit, two guys cut down at home and then lost a ball in the sun.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) It's been coming down just west of Chicago for a solid 45 minutes. It'll be delayed for awhile. Anyone hear an ETA? From weather.com I see it should lighten up around 9:30-10 and have a pretty wide opening from 10:15 til 3am... think they'd delay it that long? Probably unless the field is saturated, which takes alot I guess
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:29 AM) D Wise is a quality big leaguer. The hate on here borderlined on insanity. Agreed. He was a real good role player and could field for sure
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:23 AM) It was a two run shot. I always liked D Wise. He is such a good fielder he probably hit the ball and then ran out there in the outfield and caught it just over the fence so they just gave him a 2 run dinger
