QUOTE (letsgoarow @ May 14, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) im so sick of everyone b****ing... all it does is make it worse. Saying its impossible for a team who is 2 games out in May to win a division is ridiculous. Who said that? I didn't so include everyone else but not me please. I think we all know this team can compete, but we all want them to win 162 games and when that doesn't happen you need to vent or go buy a gun. That's all.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) I dont understand where this loss of velocity thing came from, I havent noticed that at all this season. I've noticed that when he gives up little hits the next batters have gotten hanging changeups or rolling cutters which have been crushed. Thats what ive noticed. Wass just has zero control. Buerhle never was fast. It's location and keeping hitters off balance for him. Wasserman should be back in AAA and let's give someone else a shot at the bullpen position.

QUOTE (BearSox @ May 14, 2008 -> 12:01 PM) white sox offense at it's best once again... Dotel is not the problem, but it ain't a good thing when a relief pitcher can't get the first batter he faces out. I really believe that's the clue to being an effective reliever and when that doesn't happen trouble usually follows. Tonight the Sox offense made Weaver a Cy Young candidate. Plus I saw that thrown to home late from Nick Swisher trying to cut down that first run and it was only off by about 50 feet up the 1st base line. I thought he had a better arm then that, but obviously I was mistaken.

QUOTE (Vance Law @ May 14, 2008 -> 08:35 AM) We will never be able to put up offensive numbers like the speedy World Series Champs, the Boston Red Sox. That there Papi guy can run the 10 yard dash in 24 hours flat. I think the real problem for us is timely hitting and situational hitting. Maybe when it warms up in September we get to see some more base runners and pop at the right time.

That called strike looked off the plate, but what else is new for this offense. How many times have we left the sacks full in the last few games and couldn't get the big runs in when needed even when we won the game. The guys doing the best job are the bottom of the order. -

I see from MLB game day that Crede walks and now the pitching change. Bootcheck with an ERA over 10. Any bets that Uribe goes for the first pitch? Good or bad he will swing for the fences on the first one he sees. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2008 -> 03:33 AM) How did OC not get an error on that first play of the 5th inning? He really must have naked pictures of official scorers around the league. He must be giving back that home town discount stuff tonight -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 13, 2008 -> 03:28 AM) Remember all the fans clamoring and begging us to keep Buehrle last July? The ones who threatened to give up their season tickets if we had traded him? Be careful what you wish for. Point well taken -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2008 -> 03:27 AM) For anyone that lives on the west coast and might see the Angels more than I do....have you ever seen a team pitch to Vlad with runners on 2nd and 3rd? I think Ozzie manages with the grumbling gut instead of with baseball sense -

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 13, 2008 -> 03:24 AM) The offense has given us 4 runs through 5 innings, that's not horrible. Mark is really disappointing so far though. Offesne has grounded into 3 DP's. Where are the 3-4-5 hitters? Silent again -

Buerhle with another strong outing. 7 hits in 4 innings plus giving up a three run homer. I wonder what he destroys after this game? -
He needs to put on some weight/muscle

You don't trade a slugger like Jim Thome for a back up catcher. You can get a back up catcher for much less. It is suggestions like these that makes me glad we aren't the GM's. Hopeful this was just to generate discussion.
