  1. AJ is a smart hiter and player period. Now who hits for Hall?
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) Crede was 4-9 career against Nathan. Now 4-10. That's still hall of fame numbers! Amazing how in this game you can fail 6 out of ten and still be a success.
  3. Reyes is in and has no allowed an earned run. This is a god sign for us as this team has been beating those guys. Sherrill on Monday and Chamberlain before that. Let's see what we can do in the 8th
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 07:18 PM) It's too bad were the only team the Twins can beat. When all is said and done this year, they'll be in last. I never did like the Twins or their so called stadium
  5. I think what you just witnessed there is a hitter taking what he is thrown and doing something with it in the clutch. Something our guys have not been doing
  6. What's with all these balls in the dirt from Logan? He is playing with fire when he has that runner on 3rd
  7. Jusrt able to log into MLB Game Day. It seems from the looks of things that our offense still hasn't produced the big hit when needed. Nice job by Thornton again in relief though.
  8. QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) I think 3 of the 5 hits Lance gave up today were to Cintron and Terrero. So he can't get ex-big leaguers out?
  9. I saw Nanita when he played Rookie ball at Great Falls, MT. I was impressed with his handling of the bat. He went the other way when needed and didn't try and cream everything. I didn't think he was that bad with the glove either, but I think it's hard to judge fielding considering the shape some of these minor league parks are in.
  10. I'll be listening on XM radio. Wave at me!
  11. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) No, a one-dimensional player is Brian Anderson. Defense and jack squat after that. At least Owens can make contact with the ball. Anderson is sporting about a 1:3 BB:K ratio. I think you are just angry over his failed bunt on Monday. I saw the replay and I don't know if he could have bunted that ball or not. Maybe foul it off is the best he could have done-maybe. I really think the decision should have been to let BA swing away for a fly ball rbi. But, that is not criticizing Ozzie's choice of strategy either.
  12. I think that Owens is still a possibility, but a long shot to be called up right now. He would only platoon with BA. I do think that Ramirez needs time in the minors so the question would be who to call up to repalce him - Owens or Richar?
  13. I am guessing that the game will be resumed in Baltimore with the Sox as the home team and then they will play the regularly scheduled affair. A little birdie told me right before I read the top post.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:20 AM) Wow, great hustle by OC! No one else on our team goes for that. I think we have a new desire and hustle this year.
  15. Well, this game ain't over till it's over. We still have an at-bat left
  16. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:13 AM) Note Green-ness. That's what I thought. Sorry!
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:11 AM) It's not Anderson's fault. He's just one of many. If our fat closer could retire the miserable Orioles, this game would have been over. True story again. Your ace reliever is supposed to put the game away in the 9th not give it away
  18. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:10 AM) Don't forget Alexei What did he do other than batting a buck and some change?
  19. I can't believe what I just saw pop up on MLB. A homerrun off our relief pitcher
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:07 AM) They were throwing everything in on Anderson there. The hardest ball to bunt is something hard and in. True story
