Pale Hose on ESPN Sunday Night Game of the Week
elrockinMT replied to elrockinMT's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (tommy @ May 19, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) The game on Saturday is on FOX, just throwing it out there.. Even better. I hope they show that regional game in my area. Usually though we get stuck with a West coast game or the Yankees and Red Sox. I see ESPN is following the Yankmees and Botox again quite abit. Funny how a last place team gets so much coverage isn't it? -
QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 19, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) haha was thinking the same thing... Me too especially when Masset comes in and gets three ground balls. If Massett is truly the groundball type picther that Danks said he was he (Massett) can really be an asset in perilous times. Dootell simply couldn't find the strike zone when needed. Seeing Ocatvio be successful for a number of games just shows you how quickly fortunes can change in this game.

America's team featured on Sunday. I'll be in front of the big screen watching in HD. I also believe WGN has the Friday night Sox-Angels game.

That innig didn't take long did it

QUOTE (southsidesoxfan1983 @ May 18, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) they really do love aj out in sf I sure like the way AJ takes it though. He's a pro

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 18, 2008 -> 07:53 PM) Crede's back was bothering him yesterday...hmm. I don't think I read anywhere where the back was the problem for Crede. I think he was just banged up abit from HBP. He wanted to play, bit took the day off like a man. He's back in today.

I'll do may analyzing after the game. It's more funner when you are an armchair manager. Can't ever be wrong you know.
-
Exercise regimen is needed and he'll be fine. Plus we have Monday off which is good even if they did give him some extra rest

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) I know these deals are all the rage right now, but what happens when someone throws $50 million at the next Chris Shelton? There is no doubting Quentin is good when healthy, but do we know he can stay healthy for 5/6/7 years? He has had a couple of MAJOR surgeries. That makes me nervous. And how do they arrive at such a number, or any number based on 6 weeks of the season?

I'll be watching tonight on WGN. I think Mark has something to prove and will be lights out. I saw the game on Friday over WGN and was impressed how Floyd kept battling even though he didn't have his best stuff. The pen looked good too. Now it was really fun to see Alexi Ramirez get his first homer and it was a game winner. What more could you ask for?

I will be watching on WGN just like Friday night. That ws a good game and win so hopefully Saturday night will see Buerhle get on track too -
QUOTE (lostfan @ May 16, 2008 -> 08:10 PM) Aren't they mostly throwing errors and not fielding errors? I think so and maybe with a year off it's still not comfortable for him at all times when he gets the grip on the ball and makes a throw, etc. He has maade some real terrific and tought plays this year also so I am not buying back problems at this time anyway. My theory is that Josh Fields switched gloves with him.

Impressive close by Jenks. A 'K' and two hit back to the pitcher. Nice win. -

I am offended. This isn't gangland folks. But. Ill be watching tonight on WGN -
If Mark is pitching Friday night I'll watch it on WGN. I am expecting a good game from him.
-
How about we wait for awhile since he can't be a FA for a few years
-
Has Floyd been sacrificing velocity for movement?
elrockinMT replied to Jack Parkman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think using the word "sacrificing" is misleading. It is more like pitching smartly and within himself -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 15, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) I think Buehrle will have a good game. I like his K rate. He needs to throw more first pitch strikes. If all else fails theres always HGH. Or Jack Daniels

I listened to the game on XM radio and since it was in LA it was the Angel broadcasters. They were really praising Contreras saying they had never seen a pitcher able to control the split finger and locate it like Jose. Quentin of course was praised also. I am so pleasently surprised about Carlos Q and to thnk in ST he might not have even been considered for a role with the team.

XM Radio again tonight. I think Friday's game against SF is on WGN. I'll be there in front of the TV -
He wouldn't be getting many infield hits I wouldn't think

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 14, 2008 -> 11:03 PM) I would have no problem with a younger Randy Winn on the White Sox. I know that will make some people throw up, but I think the Sox could use a couple guys in the lineup that who can start innings off if they happen to lead-off an inning. Funny thing is, I've also always been a Randy Winn fan (back from his days in Seattle). I'd easily take him as a 2 hitter on this club. Who is a younger Randy Winn? Or did he discover the fountain of youth? The issue with Konerko's hand is one I was wondering about. Paulie might not be able to get a good hand hold on that bat just yet.

I might be listening on XM. Wave at me during the game. I'll see you on the radio -
We are 38 games into the season more or less. I love it when we all analyze after every game, but even more so when it's a loss

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 14, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) trading konerko or thome before it is too late would require a flux capacitor, a delorean and 1.21 jigawatts I don't care who you are that's funny right there!
