  1. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:22 AM) That's actually the first time I've ever said that. The Red Sox benched Ortiz, so why the hell not? Nothing wrong with having a vet sit a game or two if needed.
  2. QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) How many more years do the Sox have to pay Jim Thome $16 million per year? This is why we should be signing Crede to along term deal and switching Fields to 1B. Konerko can DH and play 1B changing off with Josh F. Did I mention we should sign Crede to along term deal?
  3. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:15 AM) Would it matter? Thome is lost at the plate. Your right on that call. You can only hope that he puts it in high gear on this one though
  4. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:13 AM) If there were ANY lefty that Thome could break out of his funk against, it would be the ever straight throwing Alan Embree, seriously... We can hope
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:12 AM) HE LOOKS UP..... to catch the ball.. You can put that one ... in your glove
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:09 AM) It's real simple...he's trying to pull everything. I agree. Maybe if he would go the other way a time or two his timing will come back
  7. The line up needs a little shaking up tomorrow. I'd like to see Anderson in and Quentin sit. Plus I think Tome needs a day off to get his hitting head on straight. The biggest hit I can remember him getting since his 2 homer opening day is when Cabrear slipped and fell into the ump on Sunday and the ball fell aqt 3B.
  8. If Gavin can pitch with confidence and success against the Tigers I am thinking he can do good against the others too. That was a nice game and good defense by Crede and Quentin helped.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 07:30 PM) Even I'll struggle to find something negative to say about this game. Wasn't a no hitter
  10. It was great to get that shutout to back up Floyd's fantastic outing. See you tomorrow
  11. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) Haha.. of course not.. anderson is out there for his stud defense in the 7-0 game! OK. Now your talking baseball lingo I can understand. Great move by Ozzie
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) Cold but no rain. Well, I'll be warm anyway. It will be 75 degrees here in God's Country tomorrow
  13. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) i second seeing anderson out there, no reason not to.. esp. if swisher has anything wrong with him injury wise So you guys are willing to risk Brian being hurt instead?
  14. What's the weather for tomorrow? I will be watching on WGN hopefully
  15. I saw Verlanders pitch count as AJ was coming up ands couldn't figure out why he would still be in there facing the lefty, but the Tigers pitching is depleted no doubt. Plus Verlander is a real good pitcher. But, AJ is on fire early this seaon which is a good sign of things to come this year I think.
  16. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 07:12 PM) If Floyd pitches this way all year, KW is suddenly back to being a genius. Yes, it will till the next trade of a big fan favorite
  17. I just got back home. I take back everything bad I said about Cabrera. It also looks like Floyd is really showing what he's got
  18. I hope Thome gets hot today after being hot last night at the ump. I changed my PTC from Uribe to Big Jim hoping for some magic
  19. QUOTE (rudylaw @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) I am not saying that. I am just saying that Joe does enjoy the pop up. You take the good with bad. I guess your right on that thought
  20. QUOTE (rudylaw @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:18 PM) Gavin throwing the ball pretty darn good so far. When he is working that curve he is good. It's nice to see these guys like Floyd get out of that first inning and show us what they got.
  21. QUOTE (rudylaw @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:15 PM) Joe Crede is our best pop up man. Also one of our best clutch hitters
  22. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) another gold glove play by Crede Have I told you lately how much I like that Joe Crede guy?
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:14 PM) He's a career .272 hitter. so what's .028 anyway? Last year he hit .300 so what have you done for uis lately OC?
  24. QUOTE (rudylaw @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) Way to make him work in the 1st guys. Take some pitches For a guy that's supposed to be a .300 hiter I have not been impressed with the OC
