  1. I leave the moderating to the moderators. The only thing I have to say is I don't like personal atacks because people disagree with a post or whatever the case/issue might be. I hope I have never done that to someone. If I did I apologize. I enjoy this site tremendously and don't have problems with anyone. If I can help the mods in anyway I am willing to step up. Thanks to you guys that run this place.
  2. I'll be watching on ESPN-2HD. I am forcing the family to wear my extra Sox hats also. Mark Buerhle knows better than anyone that he needs to make up for opening day. Tonights game is start one in mind.
  3. I don't think Jerry Owens is ready to come back yet and needs time rehabbing at Charlotte. Plus we need to see Brian Anderson perform before making early season changes. If things happen with roster changes the first person that needs to be looked at is Alexei R as I haven't seen a sign yet at the start of the real season that he is ready for big league pitching.
  4. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:21 AM) Ugh, stupid Fox...I get NYM/Braves here. If if I go to a Bdubs will they have it or is it blacked out for everything (like how it is for mlbtv.com)? This will be a continuing problem during the MLB season. You will be seeing the Mets-Yankees-Red Sox most of the time on ESPN and Fox because they are prejudiced
  5. QUOTE(pierard @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 12:06 AM) According to this http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/roster...=average_weight the Sox are tied with Yankees as the fattest team in the MLB with an average weight of 221. I'm guessing that's why MacDougal (175 lbs) is on the roster, so the Sox don't own the title outright. Not a lot for me to really be negative about... There is always one in the crowd
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) OMFG JD is so damn slow Not slow. He is confident and with the so easy glide to the ball--- or something like that
  7. QUOTE(max power @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) Damn you crafty arsehole. I've been waiting to shower for 3 hours. How about three days?
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 08:01 PM) You'll see Quentin-Anderson-Dye in the bottom of the 9th. I am just trying that reverse psycho stuff
  9. QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 08:00 PM) anyone think ozzie will do the right thing and put anderson in center for dye, with either quentin or swisher in left and the other in right? Probably not
  10. Dotel is the one that I have some concerns about and hopefully as the season warms up he can get the first batter out. Let that first one on base every time and you are playing with fire. Now let's talk the monster that is AJ Perzynski. Wow!
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) They haven't even thrown the first drunk out at the Cell. Plenty of new faces around the team who are still trying to gel. Plenty of exciting baseball yet to be played. If you want to be negative, there is a trhead for that. If you want to point out the birth mark on Cindy Crawford, the posts will be moved to the appropriate thread. Let's have one place to go to feel better about this team. When things are half full they are half empty and vice versa
  12. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 06:31 PM) when you can't throw a breaking ball without hurting your arm, what difference does it make that Colon is throwing 95? Sox like speed
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) We really missed the boat on not signing Colon. He's already up to 95 mph. Even if we had him and he was pitching 105 some wouldn't be happy it wasn't 106
  14. I know this is the first game for Jose this year and the Sox 4th, but when you see three of our four starting picthers blow big time it just makes you frustrated. Nothing compares to the pain you see when the offense scores runs and a pitcher goes out these throwing lollipops and gives them all back. It happened too many times last year and its picking up right where it left off. Let's show something fiery on the part of a Sox starting pitcher for a change and make us happy. Mr. Danks can take a bow though.
  15. I most likely will miss Friday's game on WGN, which bums me out. Sunday night though I'll be watching ESPNHD. A series sweep would be fun.
  16. It's great to get a win. Now I am looking forward to Sunday's game, (ESPN) and I think Buerhle might be pitching. But, maybe not. I was just figuring the rotation and the number of days till Sunday rolls around
  17. QUOTE(shipps @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) Ya,there is no reason to call them the bengals.ESPN has started this stupid thing of calling teams by something close to the name but not the name so now everyone does it. Listen you young whippersnapper you. They have been called different names just like the Sox for many many years.
  18. I am very happy. Beisbol been berry berry gud to me
  19. QUOTE(lostfan @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 06:33 PM) I think it was a toss-up really. BTW I think if anyone gets sent down it should be Alexei. It's not going to hurt him. That's who I think should go also
  20. QUOTE(lostfan @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) Uribe batting w/2 outs in the 9th = Anderson will have to wait for that first AB of '08. I am surprised that Ozzie playe Quentin over Brian in this game. Wonder what happens when Owens is back
  21. I am impressed that Danks showed what he did this game. After our pitchers gave up 17 runs in 2 games and especially seeing less than stellar outings from MB and JV it is good to see him step up like he did. Plus Uribe and Crede!
