  1. Why are we so quick on this site to undervalue our own players? To compare Fields and Crede and say we have to get rid of Crede in wrong. They can coexist on the same team. Crede at 3B and Fields in LF. I am not sure either Pods or Erstad will be back next year although it is possible. Sweeny and B Anderson are both hurt down there at AAA and who knows how they may be in spring training 2008. I would like to keep Dye in RF for the Sox, but you don't know how that story will end either.
  2. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 09:06 PM) I know its a farfetched possiblity...but we can all dream! Go Sox! Go Gavin! Screw the Miracle Mets....we are the Super Sox of '07! Let's settle down please. Floyd finally had one good game of 6 inings and before that had four very poor outings. I think we have talent here, but let's see what he can do over the course of the rest of the season. He deserves the chance that's for sure and it can't be worse then what we have seen from the Count can it?
  3. If we just flat out release Jose aren't we responsbile for his salary (or at least part of it) even if he gets picked up by another team? No reason to let him go now unless we get something in return. I agree that the 6 man rotation is at least something to consider for the rest of the season.
  4. Sox win! I wish I had the chance to actually watch Floy start this one. He appears to have done real good.
  5. Jenks has been impressive with 31 straight batters put out in this strtetch
  6. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) Hawk and DJ were also talking about Mac had been pitching with some pain. I would bet we see a better pitcher out there now. I know he's been hurt, but still in pain?
  7. I wish MLB Gameday would get a picture of Richar in a Sox cap instead of the DBacks gear.
  8. I see while posting here that MacDougal blew the shut out and gave up another homer. He had one good outing in three since coming back. The bullpen needs the overhaul and not consider giving up a guy like Jim Thome, or even letting Dye go.

  10. Luv to see Willie Harris back with the Sox, but do you think Atlanta going to let him go now? The guy always played hard when here with the Sox and had/has a lot of talent.
  11. Fields still looks pretty bad at bat more often than not, but he has talent, which experience will bring out. He is not a better 3Bman than Joe Crede and we know Joe can hit and field. Josh Fields should be in LF and Crede at 3B. Fields would be a good person at 3B when Joe is being rested or moves made in the late innings. We have given up some talented ball players in recent years that our own system developed and it's time to keep our own and build a championship team. CF ? LF Fields DH Thome IB Konedrko RF Dye 3b Crede C Pierzynski 2b ? SS ? The jury is still out on at least three positions for next year
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 03:56 PM) I understand why people would want JD back, but to me, the fact is, he should be a DH somewhere next year, and if he isn't a DH, he'll wind up just like this year; struggling for a month or two with some sort of nagging injury that winds up preventing him from putting up good numbers. I just don't think he has it in him to be a full time outfielder next season. You can only base that comment on his being injured for a stint this year. he is healthy and producing. Jermaine Dye is not a liability to the Sox and I agree with those calling for KW to sign him to an extension.
  13. It's not that Erstad can play the game it's that he can't play the game because he's injred all the time. Now does that mean in 2008 he will be healthy/healthier? Million dollar question.
  14. The bullpen went 7.+ innings and gave up 1 run. That was real nice to see.
  15. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) different strokes for different folks.... your entitled to your own opinion Yes, I am but this kind of posting is not right. Please keep in mind that children visit this site
  16. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) Where's duck fart? I ain't heard him say duck snort all year. He switched to duck fart. I never knew that
  17. Konerko and Dye with solo homers and McDougal is actually holding on. That is a good thing right?
  18. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) Paulie just f***ed Damon in the ass to make him humbbbbleeee I don't think that really happened
  19. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) Or time of the month. That goes without saying
  20. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) YES Network says Erstad has "cramps" in both legs. Better than cramps between the ears
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:02 PM) Erstad was activated from the disabled list, and he stepped onto the field. He tripped on the grass your telling me?
  22. I just got back on line. What happened to Erstad and what do we know about Thome? anything new?
  23. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 07:08 PM) How do you like it? Sorry I didn't reply quicker. My computer went haywire and I lost the site. I was born and raised in Montana. We are close to the mountains here and lots of fishing, hiking and camping and clean air, etc.
