  1. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 07:04 PM) You live in Montana? Yes I live in Big Sky Country
  2. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 07:03 PM) would $14 million be enough to lock up Dye for 2 seasons? how about Erstad, it's about time he contributed to this 2007 ball club. I think JD would take 6 or 7 million a year for 3 years to stay in Chicago. I think the Sox should do it too.
  3. Dye with a 2 run dinger. I want to keep him too
  4. Question I want answered is why Thome is out. I don't care that PODS is in I just want to know in Big Jim is hurt again? I do like Pods. Sorry!
  5. We are so bad off that the picture gameday uses for Richar has him with a DBacks hat on
  6. This just goes to show how far this team has fallen this year. We score 8 runs in the top of the 2nd only to have the Yankees come back with 8 in the bottom. The bad thing about this is now I am almost convinced we will lose and probably by a large margin. The Yankees have scored 32 runs off our picthers in 20 innings
  7. Rodruguez singles and it's 8-6. We might as well give up. There is no one in the pen that will hold this anyway
  8. JG gives up a 7th hit and now it 8-5. What the heck is wrong here?
  9. Garland has given up 6 hits and one of those being a homer which is #14 by the yanks in 3 games
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 06:14 PM) Am I totally out of line to suggest this game isn't a slam dunk win for the Sox? Anyways, I can't believe that no one offered more for Dye. He would have been a huge boost for a team during the final 2 months. I am hoping we keep Dye and sign him to an extension. He is a good hitter and now he is healthy and hopefully continues to contribute
  11. Gameday was stuck again so I managed to get over to CBS sportsline and see Garland gave up at least 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. The Yankmees are able to get right back into this thing. Unbelievable
  12. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 06:10 PM) just think.... 211 days 22 hours and 8 minutes until spring training '08. Don't give up on this year just yet
  13. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 06:09 PM) OK so I got carried away
  14. I just checked gameday adn saw we had 8 runs and knocked Clemens out of the game in the 2nd. This is what the Sox needed as far as a come back. We can still take this pennant away from the Tigers and Indians and Twins and Royals!! Go Sox!!
  15. I saw the game Wed on WGN and the umps call was total BS. The thought that the knuckleball was thrown to intentionally hit a guy in that situation was ridiculous. You don't make a statement with a 65 MPH knuckler. I also think it is proper to send Haeger down. He has not been performing either.
  16. Something needs to be done with Contreras & I think we all agree on that. I don't know if Floyd has anything better, but let's find out. But, for crying out loud 8 homers in 14 innings. The number of homers allowed by our pitchers is emabarssing. These new guys come up and throw basketballs up there rather than baseballs.
  17. Gavin Floyd gives up 5 runs every time he pitchers and never gets past the 5th inning. He needs to go back to AAA and let some other hot pitching prospect a chance at failure. Haeger can go down also and both stay the rest of the season. We already know they can't get people out consistently if ever.
  18. I can't believe the sox pitchers gave up 8 homers to the yankmees. Contreras was actually outdone by the sucky bullpen. He have up 7 runs and they gave up 9. We have competition going alright-what can we do horrible tonight?!
  19. With a runner on 2B and nobody out you would sure like to see that guy driven in and give us a fighting chance But it didn't happen. Three groundouts
  20. I changed my PTC from Konerko to Dye adn so far Konerko has 2 hits and Dye none
  21. I am headed home pretty soon and debating if I should turn on XM radio or not. Don't know if I can stand it anymore. But, I am a diehard and glutton for punishment so probably will
  22. Melkey turns around to bat right handed against the right handed Haeger? That is the line from MLB Game day and then the guy homers. The game is getting to be a terrible nightmare and/or joke
  23. Homers and errors wil get you every time. Juan Uribe throws it away
