  1. Erstad with the sac bunt to match the Sox. 1 out and runner on 2nd.
  2. Mark with 4 straight balls to Figgins tolead off the Angels 9th. I sense a problem Houston
  3. Our hitters 1-4 tonite are a combined 0-14 with one BB.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:20 AM) This is f***ing ridiculus. Mark is busting his ass out there and Aaron can't even get a f***ing flyball. He hits it right at f***ing Cabrera. f*** you Aaron. This has been happening a lot and not just from A-Row
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:13 AM) Is there a reason Gload is in the minors? He certainly couldn't do worse than what Konerko/Dye are doing right now. In fact, he'd be a nice guy to do what Juan Uribe did early on last season, give guys breaks at SS/2B/3B -- yet, with Ross, RF and 1B. I don't know what Ross did to piss in Ozzie's cheerios, but... He is still on the D/L I believe and rehabbing at Charlotte just like the Hurt
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:11 AM) On another note, Buehrle is simply amazing. You can say that again... Wait I'll do it for you. Buerhle is simply amazing. I would have loved to see this game on TV just to watch the pitching duel.
  7. The Angels of Anaheim in Los Angeles, or in that vicinity, are doing Mark a favor by going quick. He might stick around for the 9th
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:07 AM) 0-16 on the roadtrip so far for Uribe. 3 for his last 37, let's get it started sometime this year Juan. This guy is on a road to nowhere quick with his bat. Looks pathetic up at the plate and like he's bailing out and trying to pull everything.
  9. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:04 AM) Let's go Jermaine!! Great job Jermaine
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:03 AM) Donnely is a pussy and doesn't like the crator that Fatass left out there when he was pitching. So he is a frickin crybaby! Let's give him something to bawl about
  11. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 25, 2005 -> 03:58 AM) The starting pitching continues to be spectacular though. As long as that continues we'll be fine. Come back Frank!!! I second that emotion. I love Mark Buerhle.
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 24, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) I disagree. He loves this team and he wants to stay here. Have you noticed during the games that when he would wave and miss at a fastball he'd grimace a little and then look at his right hand? He did that several times during last nights game and it leads me to believe something is, as was suggested in this thread, bothering him injury wise. Yes! He has been complimentary and comes across as a team player. But, I still want the Big Hurt back soon.
  13. Great at bat by Pierz!!! 11 picthes and he singles on a 3-2 count. Made Colon work and is over 112 pitches in the 7th. Maybe we can get him out of there and a releif pitcher brought in...
  14. I have MLB Game Day so very limited on what I can decipher on the game. Bartolo must really be bringing it? Buerhle is up for the challenge though. I just hope we get some offense so the good pitching we get isn't wasted. Small ball doesn't mean zero offense I hope they know.
  15. Corpseball is right. I just logged in to see what was happening. 1 run in the last 15 innings! I see Iguchi tokk 3 straight strikes looking kin his last at bat. He must be just plain overmatched?
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) Last year Graves had 41 saves and a 3.95 ERA. Now that ERA wasn't all that grand and there were better closers, but thats not too shabby. Plus Graves is a lot like Keith Foulke...he doesn't rely on his fastball, he relies on a very good changeup. Graves has had one bad year prior to this and that was when he was put into the starting rotation and couldn't handle it. Considering he's what 31 years old I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to do it again. It is an intriguing thought for sure. I am just afaid we would have another Koch on our hands is all. He was still young too, but just didn't have it anymore.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 23, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) If he clears waivesr than hell ya I'd go after him. This guy has been a very good reliever in the past and may just be suffering from the effects of being on the Reds for so long. He obviously hasn't been right htis year but sometimes a change of scenery is all it takes and if he clears waivers the Sox would be able to get him at the league minimum with the Reds picking up the rest of the tab. But you have to be sure he has something left in the tank to be effective. We don't need to take any chances of someone who can't cut it anymore on another team. Making the assumption all he needs is a change of scenery may not be the best assumption one should be making. He just might not have it anymore. Major league scouts might know a bit about what he might still be capable of doing.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ May 23, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) We drove to Boulder a few years ago and it took 10 hours just to get there (overnight driving).. Denver is only about an hour further.. but just in case maybe plan the drive with a bit of extra driving time in case you need it. Have fun. Thanks Steff! I will have fun I am sure. Got a downtown hotel on Priceline at $50 off the listed rate. My next hope is I can get to Seattle in August to see the Sox play. I also want to make it to Chicago, but if you drive it's 2 days on the road. But, I told my blushing bride that we are going to do it anyway.
  19. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ May 22, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) Yeah but we are catching a break with the LA Angels, with Vlad and their top closer on the shelf. We don't have Frank Thomas in the line up either. Vlad is injured. It happens and you take advantage of the breaks when they are given you, right?
