Reading these comments makes me believe this board is better than cable.

That was a good solid inning for Mark. At about 80 pitches and staying consistent he can go 7 or 8 today. You know he has the heart and wants too.

I watched the game yesterday on WGN and when KC was down 6-0 Pena called his players into a dugout huddle and they listened to him. He apparently told them to go the other way against Garland and they reacted. That's impressive managing and motivation. I hope Ozzie gets the relief corp together and tells them not to give up runs in the 9th inning. Hopefully they will listen..

I don't see Billy Koch on your list.

What is it with the Sox pitchers and all these homers?

Beltran is impressive, but he only seems to hit the long ball against the Sox. You would think they would figure out a way to get this guy out.

I watched the game on WGN. All I can say is that we wre able to do to KC what they did to us in KC. It's great to have that last chance and our guys showed they have heart. As for Koch... I just couldn't believe how this guy could get 2 trikes on every hitter he faced and then grooved it. They blew him out of the water. I don't know if we can afford to keep Billy around anymore. I have always been his supporter even though I hated that trade for Foulke. Today may have been the last for me supporting Billy. I am sure he will get some more chances, but if he blows again look out.

He had an absolutely horrendous outing. I have tried to be a loyal supporter of Koch, but today may have been the last for me. I just can't fathom how he could get two strikes on the batters and then blow it. If I am not mistaken he was ahead of the count or at least even on every batter and then they bashed him. So much for being the closer.

I think that was the rub right there. O Perez had one good year and we were acting like he was a Cy Young pitcher. Konerko had proven himself, and with one mediocre year some fans were calling for his head to be lopped off. I for one am happy it didn't happen. But, I think it could have happened if the Dodgers had sweetened the pot with some of that minor league talent.

There are not many players out there of the caliber of Magglio Ordonez. It would go a long ways towards showing the Sox fans that the ownership is committed to winning. I am hopeful that Maggs stays in Chicago White Sox garb for a long time.

The "year after effect" sounds like a scientific version of what they call the sophmore jinx applied to rookies. I am thinking too that as long as the Sox get 10 runs a game and win then we can wait for E LO to rebound.

E LO has thrown 100 pithes and sat for awhile in the dug out. It's time to go to the pen. It is a long season and no reason to push him in his second start.

Frank is going to bust out now. He is geting that timing down. What for the bomb and then it will be lights out.

Well here we go. E Lo is just not doing what he should be today. You don't give up the lead off walk and then a hit after getting a lead. He needs to sit.

Egggxxacctly. If E LO can shut down the Royals in the 6th it will be a real uplifting moment. Give up a run or two and we could be in hot water.
