Because of that blunder by Carlos and now a new pitcher coming in we could very well could have just lost our golden chance in this game. If we had the bags loaded with no out.... one can only dream.
We must have been wanting the wrong guy to be pinch run for? Carlos committed a czrdinal sin there and he has done it before that's what's so sad. Konerko then follws with a base hit.
TB is bringing in Baez. Now here is a guy, if these hitters are patient, will be prone to wildness and then giving up the long one. Big Hurt, Lee and Konerko. Hopefully we can get some action here.
Well, Uribe got that homer he has wanted for some time. Good to see arun on the board. I don't think that Maggs has been looking very good lately nor has Lee, and Crede is so far in the muck I don't know what to think.

Gonzalez in line for his first win since August 19th of last year.
He is a grinder!
Why is it the Sox seem to be the team that also rans and newbie type pitchers look like Cy Young candidates?
Frank getting robbed is becoming to come place. Hope we start getting some breaks. I think our hitters are helping TB pitching become the best staff in the league.
One positive spin on this game then is the fact Buerhle hasn't let the 8 runs and 2 innings in the last start bother him. That's why I like the guy so much. He has given up 8 hits in 6 innings, but he seems to do that a lot. His control is good (no walks) and he is getting some k's. Just too bad about that homer to Huff.
I agree with you on that. If we have a coach that preaches patience then what is happening here? Do we miss Jose Valentin that much? Maybe having that bat in the line up puts a bit more pressure on the opposing team and protects Maggs better?
I watched the game yesterday on WGN. I agree with others about plate discipline. The Sox had the sacks packed in the 8th I think it was and two outs. Lee swings at the 1st pitch and pops out to right. Uribe swings at everything and it seems the others are either missing everyhting or swinging for downtown. Ozzie ball? I don't think so.
Just logging in for the game info. Is it just me or does it seem our pitchers give up a lot of homers? Our batters seem to be swinging for the fences and not getting the homers. Doesn't equal out does it?
If it wasn't for the Konerko error and the fact Mike Jackson gave up a hit to the first batter he faced the game could very well have been a 1-1 tie in the late-late innings. Carlos Lee going for the first pitch with 2-0ut and the sacks packed didn't kelp the Sox cause either. I am sure Danny Wright will get another start. Imagine the confidence boost, if the guy can go 6 plus innings and win a game!
The last thing you want to do is make a rash decision and rush players to the bigs. We have a very fine outfield right now with everybody contributing. J Reed is better set right where he is and gaining experience. Lee is not reverting to his old ways. The guy has improved every year and hustles his rear end off. Rowand is the only OF'er who might be replaced, but he deserve the chance to show what he has and I think he is coming along well also.
