You are right and add to that the banter is respectful and the give and take knowledgable. First and foremost we are Sox fans. Now my two cents: I like our future outfield, but I think Jeremy Reed and Anderson need their seasoning in the minors still. I like Borchard being called up first, but A-Row is the man in centerfield right now.

Another thought too. I think a new ballpark for the Twinks (outside park maybe) will make more even competition for visiting clubs. If the Twinks have to play in a real baseball stadium, and not a garbage dump, maybe they won't have that home field advantage only they can have.

Rafacosta, Old Buddy, please don't discredit the defensive abilities of Jose Valentin. He may have screwed up on a few, but you know what the ESPN highlights of NY-Bos showed Alex Rodriguez throwing it away too. It happens. Jose is a very good SS , who makes the hard plays and sometimes thinks too much on the easy ones. I think Uribe can step in for awhile, but it limits the Sox ability to manuever. I am sure an infielder will be called up if Jose goes on the DL. I hope it's only a few days of rest for him and the Big Hurt and we avoid the issue all together.

As others have noted many times in many posts-the Sox hitters always made comments about not hitting against a new pitcher because they never faced him before. That got very tiring-very fast. I am thinking we won't have that problem on Tuesday because the Sox brand of ball seems to make things happen plus Mark should keep us in the game. I would think that after that superb start from Loaiza on Sunday that Buerhle wants to do the same.I don't care if we win only 1-0 or 2-1 as long as we win.

Jose has made some errors on routine plays. Wasn't it in NY that he made two in a game? He has also showed some absolutely great defense. He is not washed up and is a solid and dangerous hitter. I am glad we have Jose Valentin at SS. Uribe has found his groove also and will be very valuable as the platoon infielder. It takes a full ball club to win and people knowing and filling their roles.

It is kind of funny how things change as soon as the regular season starts. Coming out of Spring Training it appeared that Danny Wright was solid and Schoeneweis was shaky and probably going to be the weak link. He has done well in his two starts and topped them off with a win. Wright hasn't gotten out of the 4th inning in two games. Ozzie says he is going to stick with Danny and I understand that we don't want panic moves, but if Wright can't deliver soon I would like to see Cotts get a chance.

I don't think that McGwire was any improvement at 1B defensively. Why couldn't Mark have dh'd? The Big Hurt had been with the team and was at the top of his game in the early 90's. He was just as feared a hitter as McGwire then and come to think about it he is still playing baseball.

It has been shaky at times. Shingo didn't fare real well and as you mention that there Koch has a melt down every other game it seems. I like Adkins, Politte and Jackson though. Marte looks better now too.
