April 24, 200421 yr His one mistake to some NY scrub notwishtanding, the guy has been solid. When he gets comfortable out there, his balls will start missing corners by an inch instead of by a foot and he'll be untouchable for RH and not much easier for LH. Kudos to Kenny.
April 24, 200421 yr His two seamer or whatever it is that breaks away from lefties is nasty. Especially when combined with his 67 mph change up that makes batters look SILLY.
April 24, 200421 yr Good to see you make a positive comment, Brando! JK! Yeah, Shingo is very fun to watch. His pitches are so slow and they move so much, yet when he needs to, he throws his heater at 87 MPH and the hitters are actually flustered by it. He hits his spots and has very good control. Who says velocity is everything?
April 24, 200421 yr I think shingo is a High Risk/High reward type guy -- he could easily come in and strike out the side -- but He can also give up the a few longballs if a hitter can recognize his stuff Either way -- as I said in the gamethread -- I like watching him pitch -- He's just fun to watch.

He's called to help fill in the role of Rick White. Trash's ERA last year was 6.60. If Sheeeengooowww and Danny can cut it down to 4.00, it would be fantastic. Similarly, Koch's magic numba is 4.40 Politte's - 3.50 Marte's - 2.50 Then we need a Wunsht replacement....Why is Munox starting again?
April 25, 200421 yr Then we need a Wunsht replacement....Why is Munox starting again? You couldn't have butchered those names anymore.... That change up that Shingo struck A-Rod out on a couple days ago was FILTH-Y. He made A-Rod look like a complete fool.
April 25, 200421 yr His two seamer or whatever it is that breaks away from lefties is nasty. Especially when combined with his 67 mph change up that makes batters look SILLY. That is a pretty pitch. I liked what I saw today, and remain cautiously optimistic about Shingo.

April 25, 200421 yr Author That is a pretty pitch. I liked what I saw today, and remain cautiously optimistic about Shingo. You can say that again.
April 25, 200421 yr Then we need a Wunsht replacement....Why is Munox starting again? Because we hav David Sanders down at Charlotte.
April 25, 200421 yr I liked what I saw from Shingo today also. Those pitches have some movement don't they?!
April 25, 200421 yr Mr. Zero All of you who had given up on his after New York and told me to change my name.
April 25, 200421 yr Mr. Zero All of you who had given up on his after New York and told me to change my name. LOL..U know how it is in here. One minute you're a hero, the next, you're a zero.
May 2, 200421 yr I have seen Shingo pitch a couple times or so on TV and he looks good. Confidence is there right along with those nasty pitches of his. I like this dude!
May 2, 200421 yr Shingo has some insane, nasty stuff. Plus, hitters haven't seen him before so that's at his advantage anywayz. I love watching him pitch.
May 2, 200421 yr Did you see Wells strike out against him in that second game in the 8th? Shingo definately has some filthy-ass s***.
May 2, 200421 yr Author Shingo was awesome tonight, in both games. Man, I wish Sox would have had him in his prime....lights out.
May 2, 200421 yr Author How many o-e-o's can the White Sox have? Olivo, Magglio, Shingo... I dunno, this introduction is so-bad-it's-good, and as such not restricted to one player. O-e-O Doug-Menkevich has a nice ring to it.
