  1. Dunn needs to K here to get back to normal
  2. I think Hahn has always been our Boras whisperer anyway
  3. I think I'm going to go for HTC One. Their tweaks to standard Android to my knowledge are rather minor, short of requiring you to use BlinkFeed as one of your homepages. I think I might actually like BlinkFeed, so I'll be okay with that.
  4. Keppinger has not played well, but I swear he makes a fair amount of hard contact that is always right at fielders
  5. Hawk: "...and he pitches out of another jam hhehehehehhehe"
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2013 -> 01:19 PM) The interesting thing is that Dunn's homering a lot more than 2011....8 (should be 9) versus 11 for the whole year, but average is still down 15 points. Astros have come back to take the lead against DET, but not ready to believe the Astros can actually beat them yet. I should have some good material for you to look at regarding Dunn 2013 v 2011
  7. Korean Baseball Player Celebrates His Walk-Off Bomb, Later Realizes He Flew Out
  8. Since April 24 - the day that I and FanGraphs think Dunn went back to his old approach, he has an .815 OPS. Progress.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2013 -> 01:06 PM) He had a good run about 2 weeks ago, slumped again for a week, made another adjustment or two and now is hitting well again. I think this may be the pattern for him this season. Hopefully he can extend the "runs of good hitting" just a little bit more. If my editor would oblige me, I'd have an article about this out there soon.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2013 -> 12:50 PM) He's fine as a 5th starter on a good team. That doesn't mean Hector
  11. I'm on board with playing Kepp for now, but he's toast as soon as Gordon is back. You still have to find spots to start him against lefties and an occasional righty, but the opportunities will dwindle if he doesn't pick it up.
  12. Axe could very well be the Twins' ace, so they can shove that "can't you get out" s*** up their ass
  13. Just pitch to the guy, baby. Good recovery, Axe. You got stones kid
  14. Don't worry, Axe will be in Charlotte shortly. And he has a track record of rallying back after starts like this.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2013 -> 12:25 PM) Sigh. No range from Keppinger. 14 game hitting streak for Mauer. Amazing, but his career best is ONLY 16. You would have thought it would be 20-30 games. Running into a lefty starter every few days has probably made it difficult for him to keep up a hit streak
  16. He's either hurting or lost. Why would you swing at that pitch, on the first pitch, like that?
  17. Generous call there. Dunn deserves a break.
  18. That was some awful, awful defense by MIN
  19. Not a fan of Wise playing today.
  20. We don't have to go on a 10 game win streak so long as we don't go 2-10 leading up to our elimination in September.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 15, 2013 -> 12:02 PM) Latest job-safety hazard: explosive poop foam at hog farms This didn't really start happening until 2009. I think I saw this in the The Simpsons Movie
  22. I fail to see the real issue with the production out of the leadoff spot. It has been short of ideal, but I have to say it isn't a huge cause of concern for me. Also, f*** those white 1B/DH!
  23. Trying to wrap my head around this -- A.) Dump players because they cost money. B.) Who cares if we have a young prospect behind them, because ^^^ C.) The free agent market sucks, we don't want any of those players. So why do we care about A if B and C are true?
