  1. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Oct 6, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) Cuetoh-oh. Out of the game in the 1st. I can't tell what happened.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 6, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) It's not good, but you will get drunk. I'm sampling lots of beers and its towards the end, might be time for an accidental drunk
  3. Picked up some Big Hurt Beer tonight. Will report back.
  4. Punter and referee cost us big time before the safeties put the icing on the cake. Offense just isn't good, either. Lots of issues for Illinois...this is one of our worst teams in many years
  5. A W against Wisconsin would make me feel a lot better
  6. 21st birthday > fitness goals for now
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 11:04 PM) July and August were revised 86000 higher. Government jobs were revised to 63000 higher. Re-read the original statement. I got it, my fault

  9. I'm excited. I think they have big possibilities but my hopes aren't as high, so it will be easier to watch this season.
  10. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) For those that do not know what a Burpee is, it's called a Squat Thrust in the US. 1. Begin in a straight standing position 2. Drop to squat position with your hands touching the floor 3. Extend your feet back in a quick motion into a pushup position 4. Return to the squat position 5. Jump straight up/land 6. Repeat No, I don't really know where Burpee originated. I've always heard "burpee"
  11. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) And the horse he rode in on! ¡y el caballo él usó para venir!

    Syria

    QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) Sounds like things are going to get dicey. Turkey hit Syrian military bases. The problem is that unlike rogue elements in Afghanistan, Palestine, etc, this is the actual Syrian military hitting Turkey. It also is different because Turkey has the superior military support (part of Nato) so they can do whatever they want. You'll see how powerful these international organizations are when a country like Turkey wants the USA to save their asses and the USA doesn't want to do it. hint: no power
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) He was talking about the august and july revisions. Gotcha! I was conflating "job additions" with "job growth"
  15. A separate government survey of companies and government agencies showed they added 114,000 jobs in September. And it turns out that 86,000 more jobs were added in July and August than the government had initially estimated. Is this not an aggregate number of "companies" and "government agencies?" It also shows that federal, state and local governments added 10,000 jobs in September and a revised 63,000 jobs combined in July and August. The government’s initial estimates had shown government job losses for July and August So the government hiring 73,000 in the past three months = most? I'm willing to have read these wrong, I just don't see it It says we averaged 146,000 jobs created PER MONTH over the past three months....meaning 73,000/438,000 over the past three months are government jobs....?
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) So pretty much all of the job additions for July and August were governmental jobs. http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/us-...b71a_story.html Where are you getting "pretty much all?" It looks like a small (relative to the idea of "most") portion based on those quotes to me
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) what's the relevance of witesoxfan's quote? lol...no idea how that got there
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 10:25 AM) Revised Labor Department figures find an extra 386,000 jobs QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) SHOCKING right before an election with an incumbent Democrat president. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 08:18 AM) Unemployment drops unexpectedly to 7.8% QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) It's all a conspiracy http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1012/...l#ixzz28SGxCL10
  19. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) Romney won the debate, easy correlation right there. lol
  20. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 12:05 AM) I think it was something not related to baseball. I know what I've heard it was about, I just haven't ever seen actual evidence of such.
