  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:58 PM) Casey Michael McGehee has about a 700 OPS in the worst division in baseball, other than our own. That's fine, in and of itself, except that he's almost exclusively played 1B this year. Last season, he had a .942 fielding percentage at 3B. I just think you trade away AJ and make Flowers the full-time catcher, you're sending a message to his teammates that you're surrendering in a way. Flowers hits the ball hard, when he hits it, but that's not nearly often enough. His defense has been good, but that's not a clear enough upgrade to make that move from my standpoint. Maybe at some point KW will think he does need to completely shake up the team and trade away one of the veterans. In that sense, AJ would make perfect sense. But it could just as easily backfire completely. I think there was a time that Flowers was ready to be a competent, low end starting catcher. I don't think that time is now. I also think he's gotten fat.
  2. Unfortunately, Gordon isn't out of the woods as being a surefire MLB hitter
  3. Tough game. Gotta regroup and make sure we get one tomorrow. Lots of season left boys
  4. That fastball low and away had an unbelievable amount of run
  5. Hudson's going deep. Quoth he: "f*** the haters"
  6. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) Why was he looking at that? He thought it was hitting him. It's a good slider he's got, by all accounts. DV showing his inexperience a little bit there, though he worked the count fairly well to that point
  7. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) Back to back to back ftw That's impossible
  8. I think Jake is a calm pitcher. He blows out all of his emotion AFTER each pitch so that he can relax and throw when it's time to do so. Rinse and repeat.
  9. lol what a bad at bat by Johnson
  10. Peavy says f*** off to pitch counts
  11. We're going to win at home. There's no magical voodoo there, it's just a matter of time.
  12. WOW did we get f***ed there. Terrible.
  13. PK still isn't quite right, amazing that he's kept his average and everything afloat
  14. Dear Paulie, Home run or bust.
  15. Hell of an at bat there. He did NOT want to strike out.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 09:15 PM) Would have loved to see how you handled it at 1B. I'm sure you would have just stepped on the bag. I'd say that's equal in dumbness to the Hudson play when he grabbed that pop up that hit the ground
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 09:13 PM) What did Paulie do? I wonder if the White Sox currently are the worst first place team in history at this stage of the season. So flawed yet 4 over .500 (possibly 3 coming up). LOL no. Just no. This is the epitome of an overstatement.
  18. The goat tonight is the offense until further notice
  19. Wood pitching very Quintana-like
  20. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) Yeah because we've been down that path. Unless you like doing things a 2nd time around when they dont work the 1st time. I'm sure there are other former league average-type 3B at people's AAA affiliates, that's just the only one I've heard floating around. Take your pick of the lot. I think even Josh Fields is having a nice AAA season, lol
  21. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) Your defense of certain players just keeps coming no matter what they do. /ignores my request that we bring in Mark Teahen of all people to replace him
