Yeah even top athletes are susceptible to cramps in these conditions. He probably didn't even feel any serious cramping, but just a hint of a cramp is good reason to leave the game especially for Griffey. A bad cramp can you leave you sore for days.

I think this Royals series is a good chance to build some confidence. I believe the addition of Griffey will energize the club and picking up some wins will get us mentally ready for what's ahead.
