I got their first round draft selection:
-
Most excellent wite. ...and worded so eloquently.

Wow. For no specific rhyme or reason, I was hit with an incredible excitement for the NFL draft. I've been working double-time with the notebooks and have been reading up as much as possible. Anyone else bit? If you guys have any questions on specific players or teams needs, make sure to post them in the following weeks. Remember, the draft date is the 23'd and the mock draft contest closes on the 22'd at midnight. Ye-Ha!

That just goes to show you the importance of this year's pitching staff. As Contreras and the other Sox pitchers go (to a lesser degree), so go the White Sox in 2005. ^TM

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 07:18 AM) This subforum was placed here in an attempt to put all things baseball in one main forum. You dodged that logic like a pro Yas. Naturally, that is the logic I assumed when writing that post. However, I felt it necessary to give you guys a hard time.

I just want to take this opportunity to appluad the guts and moxy of one hi8is. Not only does he continue to make asinine posts, he also puts them in the Pale Hose Forum consistently. Bravo.

Wait a second...why is this fourm listed in the larger Sox Baseball Headquarters fourm? It is a special forum of sorts is it not? Also, if, in fact, it discusses baseball not directly related to the Sox, it should not be located in the Sox Baseball Headquarters forum as those forums are reserved for all things White Sox. Hmmmm...my brain hurts.

Scott Elarton to pitch thursday for tribe
AddisonStSox replied to chisox2334's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:45 AM) He's definitely not going to post Santana like K numbers that's for sure (that said, he posted the most K's against us out of any team last season, 13 in 15.2 IP). And Righties absolutely crushed him last season, .306/.352/.548, so the White Sox should keep this in mind. He's another one of those guys the White Sox made look like Cy Young. Hopefully, these new-look Sox will get to him early and often. I'm not predicting anything, but an early exit for Mr. Elarton is a very good possibility. -

This is a bit encouraging. This 6'8, 240 pounder really doesn't have impressive stuff. This guy just gets rocked. That said, here are his stats against our belov'ed White Sox: 6 games, 3 game starts, 1 win, 0 losses, 1 CG, 1 SHO, 21.1 IP, 19 k's, 2.57 ERA, 0.90 WHIP. -
Leitao may leave DePaul
AddisonStSox replied to SleepyWhiteSox's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Although I don't give a hoot about DePaul basketball, I think this would be a poor move for Leitao. Hasn't Leitao been "promised" the UConn job when the incumbent retires? If so, why make a move to a new university where he would have to develop a new recruiting program and such. It appears DePaul is a program on the rise and can obtain some real nice prospects from the city of Chicago; I just don't understand why he would want to move to another school when good things are happening at DePaul. Naturally, this is all for naught if the UV threw a ton of money at him. He pulled the same crap when he interviewed with St. John's. He got his money out of DePaul, I think he owes it to them to remain there for a least a few more seasons. The UConn job is his, why budge? Either way, enjoy him while you can DePaul fans, he'll be a Husky in a few years. -
Ok folks, off day tomorrow! See ya Wednesday!

Ok, for those of you just checking in: Millwood pitched an excellent game. Kept the Sox hitter guessing through out. Garcia was fantastic. Pitched 8 GREAT innings, despite not having his best stuff. Sox Ozzieballed their way to victory. Podsednik pulled in the eigth, if he is ok, then it was a fantastic day.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) looked a little harder than the frisbee... i think he just altered the speed on it tho Yeah, actually, you may be right. Upon further review, it appeared to be a slider.
