That said, a 1-2-3 inning by Freddy. He needed it. Let's make some noise with the bottom of the order. 2-0 after one and a half -

Freddy's heater is getting rocked. He has either a) got to put some movement on it, or b ) throw something else. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) What has happened to Garcia's stuff? Even last start, his fastball seemed a lot slower than in seasons past, and he's not throwing his splitter/changeup like he did last season. Just compare the stuff he has now to the first start he made for the Sox vs the Twins last year. There's no comparison. He's coming out of the gates awfully slow, but I wouldn't worry. This guy is simply too talented to forget how to pitch. He'll find his form as we progress. -

Oh jeez. Ichiro starts the day off with a dong. 1-0 M's. -
Do any of you guys have either positive or negative experiences with McAfee. I've always been a Norton guy, but the school offers VirusScan for free and I've been thinking about grabbing it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Looking forward to watching a baseball game today. I have Freddy on the fantasy team and I'm expecting the first sweep of the season. Let's do it! -
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Great win Sox Git Her Done Git er' Done

From the sound of it: I missed a gem. I simply can not believe this team is 8-3. Unreal. I expected a competitive team, but this team has far surpassed my expectations thus far. Keep it up fellas. I know we aren't going to keep up winning series after series like this, but damn this is fun. Our belov'ed Sox: 8-3. Fantastic.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) Sorry santo and Addy. You guys want/need P-B-P? Inning recaps would be awesome, thanks. You don't have to do an all-out PBP though. I'll just be checking periodically.

McCoy is a good draft-day name. Good find Keith. There has been some buzz around this kid lately, but his size will prevent a team from really reaching for him. He played with a real good one in Kirk Morrison, but scouts question his size, technique, and ability to shed the block (but they seem to question that on everybody). The Bears would make a mistake with selecting him in the second round. He'll be a serviceable OLB in the NFL because of his speed, aggression, and leadership qualities, but I still think he'll be on the board in the third round.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) :fyou WCIU I'll double that. :fyou :fyou This is torture.

To be honest: Braylon Edwards is the only guy in this draft worth trading up for. He is going to be a staple in this league for years to come. He's passed up Mike Williams on a lot of boards just because he is so polished. It'll be real interesting to see who is willing to give up a ton for a shot at him.

Ok, ok...let's pull up on the throttle and get this thread out of its rapid tail-spin. We have a game to get to fellas!

Excellent signing by Doug Melvin. He locked up the ony guy he was hoping for. It's nice to see loyalty, no matter how slight, still exists in the world of sports.

White Sox Baseball 2005: Hogies or Grinders?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Looks to me like the Bears will get either Braylon or Ronnie Brown, whichever Cleveland passes up. Tampa or Miami will nab Smith and SF Rodgers. Looking good for the Bears. Personally I think the Bears want either Braylon or Ronnie. ^^^^^
