"Wait a minute, wait a minute...what's wrong with being a stud in college?"
-
Yeah, its ok...I was more of a Transformers kid myself.

"It's spelled McNown! Damn, I was good."

Quinn...YOU SUCK! The Bench...FIND IT! How the hell can this guy start at QB for the Chicago Bears Franchise. He is garbage.

Define Thread Killing... :headshake Now, some baseball talk... 1)How right-on were Ozzie's points? Believe it or not guys, he knows the score. 2)Beltran may not be the answer. He might be...but, the thought of throwing all that money at one guy scares me at this point in time. 3)Attention all Reed-Boosters, help is on the way in Anderson and Sweeney. Anderson is for real...very similar to Rowand. Gamer. Overall, I think KW and, I'll even go as far as saying, Ozzie have a solid plan of attack. Now, lets sit back and watch KW screw it up!

Wow...we got half a page of optimism...I guess that's better than I expected. C'mon! Couisn-in-law it is

Disclaimer: All Jeremy Reed boosters, Kenny Williams haters, and White Sox baseball pessimists in general please check your negativity at the door and let's try to find some things to be positive about. Here are my observations, in no particular order... -Aaron Rowand Aaron has developed into quite the grinder, something that most of us did not expect. He has shown that he can hit for average, use his speed, and play above average defense in all OF positions. He has been everything we have asked of him and more. I love this guy, I would expect the same numbers from Aaron next season...he will be starting somewhere in our OF. -Freddy Garcia We have Freddy Garcia locked up untill 06' people, thats awesome! He loves it here, he loves Ozzie (future father-in-law), and he will be fantastic at the top of the rotation with Buehrle. -Juan Uribe Although Juan came crashing back down to Earth with a thud after his amazing start, he is a definate upgrade in our IF. He has a great arm, above average range, and can play multiple positions. He will have his ups and downs, but that is just the type of hitter he will always be, don't expect different. When you have a swing that ugly, you have got to love the numbers he put up. Loads of potential. -Shingo Shingo has shown he can be very serviceable as a closer, but I am hoping he will be used as a set-up man next year for a free agent closer. He improves our bullpen, far-and-away our most consistent reliver last year. PK/CLee We should have at least one of these guys back next year. Two great Sox. Alright everyone, have at it!

I think KW has wisened up and will stay away from Mags. This situation has Grant Hill written all over it. Southside, you have definately taken on the role of being our resident Anti-Mags man now! -

Vizquel is NOT Robbie Alomar. Look at Julio Franco...it is possible to contribute to a team well into your late 30s. Vizquel is the type of player the Sox "say" they are going to try and produce...small-ballers...or as Ozzie would say "Little ball." His defense and ability to lay down a bunt alone, would improve this team. He won't win a gold glove, but he is still a vaccume. -

Lets go Cards...WHAT A FAKE PUNT!!! -
Grinder.

He would be a great pickup if the price was right. Plus, we would get to look at his goofy-ass stance all season long. My type of guy all the way...I don't know if he's Kenny's type though.

I'd love to see the upset @ home.

Hey, I'll be the first to tell you I'm a Big Ten man...hell, I don't even really care for The U; but, Its great to finally see Frank Gore get his chance. Coming out of high school, he was the top running back prospect in the country and had some of the worse luck with injuries I have ever seen for a college star. No doubt, that by now, he would have already been in the NFL and would have had his name all over Miami's record books. He had TWO ACL injuries that allowed guys like McGahee, and Portis to become stars. If you get the chance tonight, put on ESPN and watch the Miami/Louisville game, he's fun to watch.

Ok...new thought... Say the Sox could actually bring Mags back, for a one year contract loaded with incentives...would you or would you not want him back? Just say yes or no. My vote... No.

"Way back...he looks up...She can put it on the boardddddddddddd, Yes!"

Herein lies our problem. Lets use a big Pot of money as a representation of JR's wallet. The amount of money in this Pot is a SET figure. A concrete number. Now, I believe our confusion lies in the fact that we are unsure what number that concrete number really is. The big chunk out of that pot that would have been given to Mags is either/ a)given to Freddy, Jurassic, Jose or b)yet to be spent. I'm hoping for b...but we dont know yet. If someone can give me a link or something to solve this delima it would be greatly appreciated.
-
Damn I hate being out in October.
-
Then how do you respond to Steff's claim that even if Mags was healthy we would still have money available to resign him, EVER AFTER, we aquired Jurassic, Jose, and Freddy? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
-
That is not what I was implying.
-
Would Kenny have taken on those salaries if he had intentions of re-signing Mags? Would there have been enough money to go around? Or, were those guys aquired because that cash wasn't tied up in Mags' ludicrious contract offer?
-
Which money? THAT money? Who's was THAT money? It was Mags' money...case in point.
-
Its not quantum physics. I think even you can understand. We had money to spend...lots of it...Maggs didn't get it...NOW, that money can be spent on different players, a GOOD player, at the same talent level of Maggs, a star...or multiple players. Funny how that works huh?
-
His greed turned into a HUGE blessing in disguise for the Sox. Wheter than attack his character...I'm questioning whether or not he will ever produce baseball stats like he did in the past. I don't think he will. Meet the new Grant Hill.
