Chief doesn't wear mocassins. He's bear-foot. -
Awesome call!!! I was in LF at USCF when he was making a spot start...he's massive.

Oh midterm week.....I feel your pain my man

I think Cruz is about to break out in a big way...he will be a primier pen guy in 05'.
-
Melvin was really positive that 05' was going to be a big year. Now with Overbay, Russell Branyan (if anyone ever has a chance to watch this guy hit BP do it...he hits moonshots!!! so strong), sheets all producing consistently and with TOP prospects Prince Fielder (Cecil's kid) and Rickie Weeks right around the bend, they think can seriously compete as early as next year. I imagine we won't be seeing a Brewers "Garage Sale" much like the Pirates of 03' for quite some time.
-
I remember an interview with Brewers Gm Doug Melvin saying he has no intentions what-so-ever of trading Danny Kolb. He is a star and they want to build up their bullpen, not take significant steps backwards. Make of this what you will.

Insane. This thread is utterly insane.

The White Sox getting a good defensive player... Being solid up the middle defensively... That would never work. -=See White Sox Baseball 2000-2004=- and yes that is sarcasim

Talks up the Atlanta deals, and then says we are going to make the trade with the O's lol lol. Furcal would look great in Black and White, but I just don't see it happening. The trade with the O's however, looks very possible. If they offered Hariston or Roberts, I would prefer Roberts, thats just me. I think Hariston would excel here as well. With Hariston playing center and leading off, we would have two big holes answered in one relatively inexpensive player...a Sox type of guy if there ever was one. Here is my question to all the Hariston backers though...do we have any evidence that KW is interested? I just haven't read anything saying that he is a target...if anyone has a link I'd appreciate it, thanks.

No worries!!! Thanks again.

Thanks man. If you know a way to blend it, thats great...if its a hassel, don't worry about it.

U of I. Everyone from Illinois should consider it... Great school. In the top five state schools in the nation for a steal. All engineers (dont ask me any questions...I hate math lol) need to prioritize a visit as well. However, Purdue was also gourgeous.

Why I thought of this I'll never know... But, this is the Sports Bar, so he's a good Sports Bar question...if Major League Baseball was going to have a royal rumble...every man for himself...who's your man, pound for pound? Say Varitek and ARod were to actually go at it for instance? I have Varitek with a KO easy. Varitek just looks like that guy on the street you don't want to pick a fight with. Some of my other contenders...in no specific order -Delgado -Glaus -Percival -Unit -Ortiz -Farnsworth -Bradley Some Sox badasses -Hurt -Uribe (I bet he could throw down ) -Freddy -Aaron (muscle city) -Crazy Carl (enough said) Some past badasses -Canseco -Caminiti You all get the idea... Let's Get Ready To Rumble!!!

Right on.

My *dreamy* yet realistic pitching aquisition would land Pavano to a long term deal. -Anyone that has watched him for awhile knows he is legit. His stuff is awesome and only getting better...he is an inning eater...and he has all the mental makeups to be a premier pitcher in this league for a long, long time; he also has a great relationship with Ozzie. Radke would also be a great pickup for all the same reasons you guys have already said. Clement and Lowe though...I don't know, I just have a bad feeling. In this league it is very possible to suddenly (or not so suddenly) lose your stuff. I think that has already happened to Lowe, and I don't think Clement will ever be as dominating as he has been the past few years. Signing either one of those two to a long term deal would scare the hell out of me...signing either Pavano or Radke wouldn't. I think a Buehrle/Garcia/Pavano/Contreras/Garland rotation could be the BEST in the bigs...not one of the best...the best. I also wouldn't pass that off as impossible, Kenny has already locked up Freddy, he may want to snag Pavano long-term also.

Do Lowe and Clement scare the hell out of anyone else? I just got a bad feeling... Todd Ritchie anyone?
-
Absolutely Not.
