I like the move. The Sox got better and that's all that matters. I think Griffey finally being able to play on a contender again (first time since 2000) will do wonders for him.

They Sox will resign Freddy Garcia mid-season and he will lead a comeback by the Sox in August and September to capure the AL Wildcard.

I'll take the ViQueens since I live up here. When is this supposed to happen?

On the verge of a possible 5 game losing streak and the offense as flat as a live Ashlee Simpson song, Kenny Williams needs to get this deal done. They have the pitching, Buerhle, Garland and Garcia are the best top 3 in a rotation in all of baseball. The have the defense, commiting the least amount of errors in the league. Everett gives us some power on the left side but he is hitting under .240 from there. Same with AJ but again, low average. Griffey gives Guillen the option of platooning some of his players like Dye, Everett, Pods and Rowand to help keep them fresh for September and the playoffs. Pull the trigger KW, before Ashlee sings the Sox swan song.

You would think Garland would still get some more press for being the games first 12 game winner this season just based on his "ex-Cub" factor.
